He was about to give a speech designed as the centerpiece of a week dedicated to national energy policy. The trade war we just mentioned was brewing.

The tweets would suck up the day's public conversation, pushing aside any of his White House's planned messages. They'd provoke numerous Republicans to rebuke him, and force even some of his closest advisers to admit he wasn't acting presidential.

What a scared, insecure little man. As someone commented yesterday, healthy & happy people do not behave this way. This is someone w/ some real issues.

Trump declared war on the media from the get go. He'd single them out & belittle female reporters at his rallies.

But your pathetic defense of him is noted. Most people expect more of a President.

The media went after Trump as a Democratic lapdog. The election coverage was really fake news -it was that bad.

Oh, wow - the media is critical? Poor Trump.

As others have pointed out, every President deals w/ this. Maybe Trump gets more from CNN, but Obama & Clinton got it from talk radio, all day, every day - more listeners than people who watch Morning Joe. Sure, Clinton had a single comment about Limbaugh, but he didn't have a daily war w/ him and go after his appearance or whatever.

Don't you want a President with a slightly thicker skin, who understands that this is part of the job and doesn't pay attention to it? The guy is a mental case to obsess over stuff like this. It just reinforces the view of everyone who said he was not fit for the job.
