So what is it with all these conservatives banning anyone

who could possible offer an alternate opinion? Now we got another, "usfreedom9/11," beginning to appear they are either afraid of views that don't conform to what they believe, or, they need constant reinforcement that their views are shared by someone else

A Forum by its very nature is suppose to be an exchange of views. It makes little sense given that there are numerous conservative only forums, I know because I've been thrown off quite a few, so why post here if all you want to see is posts that agree with you?

So, ah, you only the conservatives doing that on this forum?

Not really a conservative, although I do have some middle of the road views, and no, I have no reason to ban anyone, if I did I'd just post on left of center only forums

I agree with the banning of people from threads. Whats the point? Let it be heard from all sides. Anyone that is just spamming pretty much gets ignored anyway.

What's the matter with freedom of choice? Why does JPP give us that option?

Grind is very well spoken and if you ask him, maybe he can give you a clue.

The point of mass partisan thread bans is trolling. As with most curative effort, the shield becomes the sword.

It's childish. If you are being trolled just block the bully. If you think someone lacks substance or just posts too frequently, block them. Going to the effort to set up a bait thread and then ban your quarry is a level of obsession that's pretty weird. Time for a mirror check.

OK, now I'm confused. Micawber says just block a few that maybe someone doesn't particularly care to hear views from.
Archives missed the point...Nomad (a lib) was the one who did a mass ban the other day, not a conservative.
I like alternative views from coherent adversaries.
Again, what's the problem with blocking 2 or 3 people if JPP has obviously given us all the ability to do so?

There is nothing wrong with thread banning the few who consistently never address the OP. The ones that are just there to harass people to try and get attention. I took what Archive had to say is that is getting expanded to thread ban people who just do not agree with you. Ones that can and do speak coherently about the OP of a thread, just with an opposing view. I can see his point.

Your better of just going to a conservative forum if you want to ban alternative views, your attempts to rationalize it are lame

Are you reading-impaired? Maybe a bit senile? Where do I say that I "want to ban alternative views."

I wrote (in plain English) "I like alternative views from coherent adversaries."
