Because many people in the middle and below felt like something wasn't right, that the system was rigged. The bailouts occurred and only those at the top benefitted from it
Bush rode the Clinton Economic Bubble until it crashed. It was up to Obama to repair the damage done by his predecessors, and he did. Now Trump is riding those efforts.
I keep asking this and never can get an answer. What specifically did Obama do to get a good economy? What policies did he set? What bills, legislation and laws did he demand be implemented? As I recall all he did was continue on Bush's economic policies and kept his tax breaks. Am I missing something?

This is quite some revisionist history. We had the dot com bubble then the recession.
Technology growth hasn't stopped however
