"America Is Now a ‘Second Tier’ Country"

If the economy was as solid as Desh claims there is no chance Bernie does as well as he did or that Trump wins. Zero.

why do you REFUSE to accept the facts about the republican partys cheating in elections and taking help from the Russians

These so called "studies" are highly subjective so I went to the link to look for these "official rankings " and the first thing I look for is where Germany stands. Of course Germany always "ranks" higher.
Having lived in Germany for three yrs , having family there, and visit there at least once a yr, I have a good feel for where I'd rather live.
We thought about retiring there but even my wife, who is German has no desire to go back there to live.
We stay for two to three weeks and can't wait to get back. The entire country has gotten worse. More crime, graffiti, more filth in the cities (used to be immaculate with cleanliness). So much for that "ranking".
I also noticed that all of those "ranked" ahead of the U.S. are far more homogeneous societies than we are with non browns or blacks.
I have to conclude that the the unspoken message by the authors of this so called "study " is that the more heterogeneous a society is the less the 'well-being' is. And the more homogeneous it is with whites or asians the better off they are.
Also look at homogeneous black or brown societies. They don't even rank.
My conclusion is that the authors of this nebulous study are quite racist.

sorry to hear that. Merkel ruined Germany

Wait a minute, your the one talking "black or brown societies" and the study is racist?

They measured each nation as a whole, and if you went into the study you would have seen a separate indicator that incorporated all the variables you find so concerning in Germany

And why would your "three year" experience as that of one individual negate the study?

Yes. I see no black or brown homogeneous societies in their rankings. Overwhelmingly white homogeneous societies are. And actually considering how heterogeneous we are I'm surprised the authors even rank the U.S.

Good for them. That's why used Germany. I have first hand experience having lived there and visiting family frequently.

So now to make you happy, does there have to be certain degree of diversity that needs to be included, or, if you are just considered to be partially heterogeneous that will do?

You didn't even look at the study, if you had you would have seen as I mentioned an indicator that encorporated race relations, besides, overall, it is study on a nation's well being, and from what I can see in your view your upset cause the US didn't get a special consideration for having "black and brown societies"

I'm not negating it. It's just a stupid subjective study and it's obvious the authors seem to believe that homogeneous white societies are better off.

Given what you've offered to prove it is "stupid" would lead one to think you find it such because you just don't like it

It's too bad Hillary told Bernie "we are not the Netherlands" during the debate instead of making our country more like there's.

Of course these countries don't spend money on defense or play all that big of a role in the global economy but hey...

I think it's stupid because, for one example, Iceland ,which has a smaller population than Alaska and may well be the most homogeneously white society, is included in the study's ranking. Now why even compare Iceland to America?
As far as not liking it, that's not true. I just think it's a bogus comparison.
The other thing I notice is posters, libs and cons both, tend to cite these social studies in a negative light to make some kind of point about something. What that point is, I don't know.
The positive thing I see in those rankings is that of the top 20 the U.S. is the most heterogeneous society.

Europe will always be beneath America. Between Islam and the expensive welfare state, the countries are like a house of cards.

Are you questioning the Unimpeachabilitiness of Bold Assertion?

I bet you didn't vote for The Nose.
