This was a horrendously sad event. Otto wasn't a child. I think he was 20 at the time he decided to go. N.K. is ruled by a Marxist and why anyone would want to go there is beyond me. Does anyone here know what the charges are against the other 3 Americans who are imprisoned there?

No, I think he advised them not to antagonize the North Koreans.

Makes perfectly good sense too. If some insane, ruthless dictator regime is holding your son hostage, the smart thing to do is not running off at the mouth and publicly insulting them.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

But I'm certain Obama worked as hard as he could to get that kid released. To blame him now after the fact is about as low class as right wing gets.

As far as the kids big mouthed father is concerned, apparently it was his own stupidity that rubbed off on Otto, resulting in him pulling the stupid stunt that got him arrested to begin with.
