WASHINGTON -- While trump berates Qatar for sponsoring terrorism at the highest levels, he is simultaneously authorizing the country to purchase over $21 billion of U.S. weapons.

why does one preclude the other? I think Egypt/SA is over-reacting with the embargo -yet we know Qatar 's banking system allows massive bundling and SA has stopped funding ISIS.

But there is still regional security to deal with, and Qatar is still part of that

I dunno if they are over reacting or not, they have their own agendas..

I doubt the royal family has stopped funding terror.. Is there any evidence they have??

In 2014, money going to fighters in Syria was often channeled via Kuwait to avoid Saudi countermeasures.[21] Despite these more aggressive measures and considerable progress, financial support for Sunni extremist groups from Saudis remains a significant problem.[22] Groups in Pakistan and elsewhere often benefit from the support of wealthy Saudis, and it is not clear how hard the Saudi government is trying to stop these flows......

My question is this: A house divided against itself cannot stand, correct??

While they are sometimes cooperative, & sometimes not so much be an indication??

Even gangsters will drop a dime on a rival/competitor if it's easier to get rid of them that way than doing it yourself :dunno:


Kuwait, after all we did for them......... & they contribute next to nothing to fight daesh??? wtf??

you have nation states with shifting alliances,and then you have Sunni Islam with so many sects,
and then you have daesh like Salfists..it's going to be a rocky road at times. They can work it out.
