Ive been reading the paris reports for the past couple of days and noticed something.

It seems like the US is the only country that actually put forward a meaningful comittment and is actually reducing emissions.

the pattern seems to be developing countries pledging to reduce their increase but still to increase emissions. Of course since there is no one to check they could just say they are increasing by 100 when they meant to increase by 70 all along anyway and developed countries like germany putting out a random number that they will be going to decrease emissions by and then proceed to increase emissions anyway.

People are freaking out as if we are not going to continue trying to be "green". It was a bad deal for America. Period.

As for the thread title, I really have serious doubts that you been diligently "reading the Paris reports for the past couple days". Why not try for honesty in the next thread?

You're correct. It was called an "accord" because it's not some type of binding treaty. Each country is able to set their own goals. For instance, China & India are going to actually build MORE coal plants and will be given another 20 years to get their act together. This is nonsense. Since the 1980's we've been preached to by the AL Gorians that the planet will only last another 10 years. This accord crappola was just another effort to shipwreck the U.S. and extort vast sums of $$$$$$$ from us with the U.N. at the helm. And, naturally the bulk of it would go to...........wait for it...........China & India. Just one more way to weaken the U.S. and Obama was eager to comply.
