Btw, he ran as an independent in 2012. But before that, I believe he was a registered democrat. After being so "mainstream" as an independent in 2012, he decided to run as a republican in 2016.

Huh? Where in the post is there any indication of support? I merely stated facts. Well, except for I am not sure if he was a registered dem before.
