Again...this time London Bridge

LOL, but you freak out and call me crazy for saying you're wrong about the lone wolf. And you can't even say you were wrong.

Priceless.

How do you not get this? Seriously...how fucking stupid are you?

I "freak out" because you say I'm "defending terrorism." I said it was a lone wolf attack, and what can we do about it, and thoughts to Great Britain - and you respond that I'm "defending terrorism."

Are you really that stupid, Yurt?

People like Thingy are actually worse than the muslime terrorists because they fail to see the threat staring them right in the face yet fear 0.2 degrees increase in temperature 100 years away. Talk about fucked up

It's interesting - I feel the same way about you. I feel like your attitude & that of many exacerbates the problem.

The way to stop incidents like this (imo) is with better intel & better relationships w/ local Muslim communities, as well as allies. You want to just cut them all off. It's mindless to me.

Yours is a wish.

If you don't let muslimes in your country you can't be killed by muslimes. Than isn't hard to figure out for most thinking people.

Do you really think I care if muslimes that I don't let come here are pissed about it?

Why do you want these muslimes here so badly?

Do you have a suicide wish? If so I can help you out. You can put the business end of my Mossberg in your mouth and pull the trigger.

BTW

How do you square your positions. On one hand you claim these are just "lone wolves" yet you think we can get better intel.

I don't think you understand the incongruence of your positions

Who are you talking to? Yurt, last I checked, hasn't posted here in years.

Religious freedom - one of the cornerstones of our country. Really, a huge part of the reason why many Europeans came here, and one of the core principles held dear by our founders.

Some sort of religious test or restriction makes us less American. The terrorists really win once we start dismantling our freedoms and changing who we are.

It's not incongruous. Even if this was "lone wolf" (and it looks like it was pretty close to that), people talk. They have friends, family, neighbors, etc. At least if there is any intel, we stand a better chance of getting it.

I don't see how I wrote that at all O_o

Self awareness is just an emergent property of our brains. Just because we are wired for irrational thinking doesn't mean there is a supreme being.

Take a male praying mantis - it is in its nature to have sex with a female and then risk getting its head gobbled off - doesn't mean there was some grand purpose to the act.

Why do only humans have self awareness?

Do you what they odds are for us just having an eyeball? Do you really think we left our 'ancestors' in the jungle and said, hey, screw those guys, let's go out into the hot African sun and shed our fur?

I will say again, I don't think Thingy defends terrorism, but his posts seem to. From what I have seen him post, everytime there is a terrorist attack, he is first to downplay it. Just take the most recent "lone wolf" statement. From what I see, he always tries to minimize the terror attack.

For the life of me, I don't know why.

and what can we do about it

well.....the first police officer on the scene was armed with a billy club and he hit them over the head until they stuck a knife in his face.......then they went on and killed a few more until someone with a gun showed up.......I wonder what they could do differently, eh?.....

I don't even see how it is minimizing it to say "lone wolf." But my follow-up to that post was honest. When I first saw the news, it seemed exactly like the 4-5 incidents we've seen just like it, w/ that lone wolf driver just plowing into a crowd. Now, we know it was 3 guys - not exactly a huge difference.

Regardless, the gulf between that and "defending terrorism" is epic. It's impossibly stupid to even try to draw that conclusion. And it's so absurd to say "well, I don't think he's defending terrorism - but his posts seem to."

Really despicable stuff, but I have concluded that you're just a dope. To try to argue that anything I have said on this thread is "defending terrorism"....it's just dopey and simplistic. You're really just an idiot.

You want to just cut them all off.

I wonder what would happen if the Muslim communities cut them off.......what if every Muslim cleric in Britain demanded the three dead terrorists be dressed in pig skin and buried without a religious ceremony?......

I'll even help you out, since you're clearly dopey. I think what you're trying to say is that I might be trying to minimize the Islamic connection, to make it less about the religion. Which is something I actually do, because I actually DO believe that these guys are anomalies, and don't define Islam.

But again - there is such a difference between that and 'defending terrorism.' I don't even know how you get to 'defending terrorism.' Can you just walk me through that thought process? How you see "what can we do about these lone wolf attacks...thoughts to Great Britain," and conclude that it seems like I'm defending violence and killing?
