Really, the ONLY answer I can think of is better intel, and really working closely w/ the Muslim communities.
You don't get the latter by condemning their religion & sending missionaries to try to convert them.
I stand by this one. Obviously, "lone wolf" was a premature characterization by me - it's how it seemed as I was watching the news, and because we've had about 4-5 incidents like this where it was just a driver.
It's still not a huge group of people, or a country we can declare war on. The best solutions - to me - are still better intel & working closely w/ the local communities.

That is an objective fact. The less muslims in the UK, the less these attacks would happen.
The long goal is to discourage all types of religious thinking. Teach logic, rhetoric, and critical thinking skills very early on in schools.
Realize that not all religions are the same, and that some are worse than others. Objectively.
