Still apples and oranges. He didn't silence anyone's free speech by doing that. The media isn't allowed into his state dept talks either. However, they are free to print what they want.

She made a mistake & acknowledged it. I used to have a professor who made an analogy about going after a flea w/ a cannon. The retribution on this one is so over the top. At some point, it would be nice to see people have compassion for another human being caught in a firestorm. She's not the devil or anything. She was just dopey.

I've never liked dog piling someone either in real life or on the interwebs. It does not seem like something people of high caliber and character do.

What did this lady do to insult you? Nothing. She insulted Trump, not you. Why are you so personally and emotionally invested in kicking her while she's down? Its not like she was a threat to civilized society, like notorious sexual harassers Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly. She did not do anything hurtful to American people more broadly , like yelping out racist or bigoted or homophobic diatribes.

So why are you taking it so personally when it did not involve you, or even target any other subset of Americans?
Really, when you think about it, the only people that could remotely have a plausible claim to dogpiling her is the Drumpf family themselves. Assuming they are not the forgiving kind.

I feel like it's a sad byproduct of the internet age, and of human nature in general.

What Griffin is going through right now is unimaginable to me. In a week, her life has been completely turned upside down, and it's very likely she has lost her career completely.

If that's not enough for people, it just seems heartless to me. You can say she brought it on herself...but that's gotta have a limit somewhere.
