Businesses ran to China with the idea that if they only got a fraction of their population to buy their goods they would reap the profits. But, they really misunderstood how the Chinese do business. First they don't honor intellectual property the way it is done in the US. Second it is like dealing with the mob in China. You have to pay off lots of people. Third, their quality is pretty shitty. Fourth and most important, labor costs are increasing in China. Years ago, businesses quietly moved to places like Vietnam for their manufacturing.
