Iran are bad actors, but they're nowhere near the threat to the US that Russia is. And the Iranians actually have seemingly fair elections, which is why they rejected the Supreme Leader's protege in favor of a moderate.

Why would Trump side with Saudi Arabia over Iran, when the vast majority of terrorism is sponsored, endorsed or enabled by Saudi Arabia? Iran are fighting ISIS. Far moreso than Russia, who Trump is bending over backwards to fellatio.
