Nebraska Republican agrees food is ‘essential’ — but won’t say Americans are ‘entitle

Then bring me a sandwich, a glass of water, and build me a new home. You owe it to me. Or so you say.

Or we can play the ball where it lays, and not pretend either that what I said is not true, or that you have no point about coercion versus giving and economic principles of value added or some people who indulge in sloth. Instead we can know that there is a world we are born into which is not fair, and a good deal more unfair for the things man has selfishly done in pursuit of individual concerns and carelessness towards the group or society at large. As to essential things that are very cheap, like basic food and water, there should be little resistance, and yet you resist even that. When all or nearly every square inch of our country of any monetary value is owned, then people certainly are not free in the very most basic physical sense. It is here where the battle lines should be drawn, so can your social darwinism arguments due to the fact that a sandwich is not free, and I'll stop with the notion that we live on the utopian Starship enterprise and property has been eliminated.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. Make a stupid posit, and I'll eat your lunch. Bank it.

No one has to ask you anything to receive a stupid answer. That is all you are really capable of providing. Carry on.

It's owed to me so you can't eat it. Food is owed to me. It's your posit. Prove it or shut it.

Or we could have a debate where the battle lines are actually drawn, rather than reciprocally imputing absurd lunatic fringe positions into the mouths of the opposition. But you are incapable. So go away.

Tell you what...

Go get approval from that Nebraska Senator who doesn't think you are entitled to food.

Once you have his blessing, I'll get right on that sandwich.

The us constitution preamble establishes justice. You think starvation in the face of ample supply is just? If you agree it it is unjust and fully within the means of society to rectify without undue hardship visited on any particular person, then the deprived person is indeed owed food by virtue of the society that has created or allowed the deprivation and the social compact declared 240 years or so ago. Notice I didn't say champagne ice cubes or prime cuts of aged steak. So please don't go there.

How do you help people Desh?

decent Americas want this country to collectively help the poor

this is not about me divertabot

the things I do would only be insulted by you if I told you them

IT IS MEANINGLESS TO THIS CONVERSATION

we are discussing what the government should do remember

I'm asking you, if I'm entitled to food, then bring it to me.

Or you want others to do it for you instead.

you just said you help decent Americans; how is that not about you?

why is the help churches give not RUINING people ?

only when the government helps is it RUINING people according to the right

its bullshit lies

if you believed helping others destroyed others you would be screaming at churches for helping people

Not trying to go for the hypocrisy thing I'm just more interested in what she thinks helping other entails

For me, anyone who pays their fair tax as prescribed in a fair tax code is helping others enough, and after that the decision is entirely a matter of personal conscience.

The Declaration of Independence states we are all entitled to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Since you need food to survive and you will DIE without food, you are entitled to food.
