it's not a conspiracy or even a secret thing1. The NSA knowingly basically has said fuck our laws and that they are going to spy on us. For the rest of the deep state bureaucrats and hierarchical systems, It's merely an emergent phenomenon.

Sykes had a great column about how Trump was the ultimate eff you to the media and everyone who those "on the outside" felt aggrieved by for so long. That is really ALL HE IS. He has very few redeeming qualities of his own.
