Pence will need to prove he had no knowledge of the obstruction and cover up if he is to gain the presidency when Trump resigns. That will be a pretty tough row to hoe given that he was in charge of the transition team.
I think Ryan will flat out refuse the presidency . He doesn't have the heart to do it.
