I'm glad to see a select few Republicans are capable of nuance. Let's play it out further. As we know, in any future proceeding, Comey is not the trier of fact, he is a witness. He also possesses a document which he will claim is a past recollection recorded of the content of a conversation. Given the comparative jeopardy, I'd rather be the extortion victim than the extortionist. The memo is closer to Clinton's semen on Monica's dress than evidence of a crime by Comey.
