No rural republicans go to the Walmart grocery section and on Sundays they drive from the trailer park to Arby's. Conservatives who hunt and grow are rich and few and far between. They are the ghouls that have the rural rabble conjobbed into believing in trickle down regressive taxes and cutting social spending. The own saw mills and have private runways on thousands of acres they own. They do t let the dirtbags set a god damned foot on their property unless it's to clean the septic systems.

You don't have to believe it. I can understand why you wouldn't want to. It probably highlights your insecurities and lack of preparedness

Like I said. My intent was not to go off grid. It was to find a place in the mountains as a getaway to hunt and escape my business.

It would have been cost prohibitive to run public utilities so I started off with a small propane tank. For most of my needs. Always had a wood burning stove for a heat source.

As I started to stay more and wanted a bit more comfort I explored my options and was fortunate enough to be able to use hydro. If you look into it you will find that it is not very complicated. However it is not practical for everyone. I got very lucky.

Believe or believe not. I have no reason to lie to you.

No, you are the exception that proves the rule. You obviously have money to have a vacation hideyhole near Tahoe skii slopes or wherever. Yes it makes perfect sense to go off grid in a rural enclave/hamlet. 7 billion humans cannot live that way. We need a society that functions.
