FAIRBANKS DECLARATION 2017
On the Occasion of the Tenth Ministerial Meeting of the Arctic Council

We, the Ministers representing the eight Arctic States, joined by representatives of the six Permanent Participant organizations, have gathered in Fairbanks, Alaska, at the conclusion of the second United States Chairmanship, at the Tenth Ministerial meeting of the Arctic Council....

Further recognizing that activities taking place outside the Arctic region, including activities occurring in Arctic States, are the main contributors to climate change effects and pollution in the Arctic, and underlining the need for action at all levels,

Noting with concern that the Arctic is warming at more than twice the rate of the global average, resulting in widespread social, environmental, and economic impacts in the Arctic and worldwide, and the pressing and increasing need for mitigation and adaptation actions and to strengthen resilience,

Noting the entry into force of the Paris Agreement on climate change and its implementation, and reiterating the need for global action to reduce both long-lived greenhouse gases and short-lived climate pollutants,

There have probably been hundreds of global warming threads on this board but very few discuss what people actually want done vis a vis our econony. What actual changes do people want implemented. Are people who prevent new development in cities and force people out to the outer suburbs helping with climate change?

Global warming is actually the perfect issue for a nationalist like me. Most of the pollution comes from China and India and we could push the muh environment!!! narrative to make sure they are never competetive with the United States. Instead we let them do what they want and hamstring our industries instead so I have to oppose it.

Its also fun to compare it to religion. IT IS SETTLED SCIENCE BROTHER GRIND! MAY THE GREAT GORE BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU AGAINST THE COMING ICE AGE.

Define causing, do you mean 10%, 20%, 50% or even 100% of the total? I believe that there is an anthropogenic element, signal or forcing effect that will result in an ECS of around 1.2C for a doubling of CO2 from the start of the industrial age of 280ppm to 560ppm around the turn of the century. I see absolutely no empirical evidence of positive feedback mechanisms and indeed nor does anybody else. Climate models are not evidence except of skullduggery and deceit.

When people say "activities in nations" , are responsible for "most" of the observable climate effects and pollution - as in this declaration - they don't mean 10 or 20 percent. I can't believe you even asked that.

You are welcome to link us to your original peer reviewed research in a prestigious publication if your data and calculation show otherwise.

I have done sunshine many times, but you are always out to lunch!! I wouldn't disagree with the pollution aspect obviously Man is responsible for that. As for CO2, it is not pollution in fact it is the exact opposite, it is vital for all plant life directly and animals indirectly.
