The Johnson Ammendment

Trumps EO is trying to undo an injustice....

https://www.opensecrets.org/industries/indus.php?ind=W05

Religious groups already do contribute to political groups....and have
for quite a few years...Democrats getting the bulk of that money.

If thats you main worry, then the law addressing that needs to be
enforced...seems to me the liberals would have a bitch about that.

Other than that, religious groups have every right under the first
amendment to say anything to want from the pulpit or anywhere else...
free speech is for everyone.......

This 'separation' of church and state bullshit is gone too far as it is...
The First Amendment is a restriction on the gov. entering the realm of religion...not visa versa.....

Wrong.
The First is a two edged sword, it cuts both ways.

Read the amendment idiot....show us where the amendment puts limits on religion....it don't...

Limits on religious freedom is only limited by other provisions of the Constitution...where they would conflict with those laws....

Most people don't attend church to hear a political speech from their pastor. There's plenty of that everywhere else.

Unless the Johnson Amendment is unconstitutional. :D

The so called 'Johnson Amendment' is not a constitutional amendment...its an IRS regulation....and I'd say it is unconstitutional....prohibiting the free speech of religious organizations....

ya. pretty much.. It's the status quo for all I can see..still can't endorse a candidate.
But they do sometimes. I don't see how his changes any of it.
Don't encourage the mangy old mutt, just give her a good kicking and lock her in the kennel.

I just love the irony that the Johnson Amendment takes its name from a complete dick.

But, yeah, live by the EO, and die by the EO. Douchebag Donald's presidential inspiration (also a complete dick) was notorious for ignoring the law, and conducting business as he saw fit.

will u heil trump? : )

Did you miss this part?

This grouping includes clergy members and individuals associated with religious organizations and charities. All contributions from this industry come from individuals. When an organization is listed as a contributor, the donors referred to are the employees of that organization, not the organization itself.

Black American churches deliver political speeches weekly. Always have.

I did see where nuns don't have to pay for killing humans through their insurance anymore, so there's that.

How many times did Hillary speak at a predominantly black church during the 2016 campaign? All politically motivated. In fact, the black preachers returned the favor by supporting her in their "sermons".

All I remember is Trump's photo op in Detroit.

They didn't care much for old Hillary, try as she might.

But I'm talking political speeches as sermons on a regular basis. Whatever the hot topic of the day.

hey retard, church isn't meant to coddle you. If people believe it's their souls on the line, they should have a right to speak. Cafeteria catholic chump
