It's a lack of science and education in general, is why we have Trump?

de Grasse Tyson...affirmative action poster boy.
Tyson was recruited by Cornell University at 15 by Carl Sagan no less. He accepted an academic scholarship at Harvard. He earned masters degrees at UT Austin and Columbia and his PhD at Columbia. That doesn't sound like a poster child for affirmative action to me.

In fact that's just a lame ad hom attack based on his race.

That shut Guille up PDQ

Trump is a symptom of the larger problem, the populist strain of resentment. The low classes of whites believe excellence is unobtainable, so instead of striving they elect an Orange goofball who talks like an idgit, knows little and brags a lot.

They need a hero, a great white hope, but he is just another tomato can with a glass jaw. That doesn't matter to him now. He is in the big boy chair, laughing.

Poor people of every color should vote anything but Republican, due to jobs programs, education, welfare, housing, banking regulations and thousands of other policies that affect them. Instead they want tax cuts for rich people pitched in the form of a retarded knute rockne patriotism rah rah rubbish and believe academic failure is a positive virtue, the plainspoken American way.

Seems to be working well in Calfornia where poor people are being forced to flee the state. My goal is to be rich enough one day to be able to vote democratic

So your contention is that these people just don't know what is good for them? They don't know what is in their best interests? But you do?

Tyson is a total media creation. He can't do real physics and all physicists know it. All he can do is write those silly "physics for poets" books for laymen. But since he's part black the racist white-hating press supports him.

Sounds like a perfect example of affirmative action to me. All colleges have been ordered by the feds to drastically lower standards for blacks.

Your circular reasoning astounds me. [/sarcasm]

You syphallitic moron. You don't get recruited and offered academic scholarships by Ivy League schools cause you can't meet standards. You get them because you exceed them.

You know if Tyson came from backwoods Mississippi with a sixth grade reading ability and was admitted to Harvard on affirmative action and went on to earn a PhD in astrophysics he would not only be a poster child for AA but he'd also be a poster child of its resounding success.

Yet that wasn't the case. Tyson exceeded admission standards. You obviously don't understand how AA works. It considers admission to historically disadvantaged minority's who do not meet admission standards. If admission standards are lowered then AA isn't needed.

So, after all of that accomplishment on his part he chooses to comment on topics he knows he's not qualified to comment on? Sounds dumb to me.

Big words from the bufoon who's science actually says that 95 percent of the Universe is missing...............

Can one pass a math exam if 95 percent of the grade is missing?

LOL

He's correct on the 95%, you fucking moron. What scientists can actually see and detect is only about 5% of the universe. They haven't been able to actually determine what the other 95% is. Try to educate yourself.
