So what you're saying is that Le Pen had a decent opponent which made the difference in their election. I agree.Macron is a center right banker and by US Standards would be a mainstream Republican.

I don't know. For all I know the choice of Le Pen vs Marcon could have been as laughably bad as the two jackasses we had to choose from.So what you're saying is that Le Pen had a decent opponent which made the difference in their election. I agree.
Le Pen is more Left than Macron.Socialist? Have you been breaking cinder blocks with your head again you jackbooted skinhead? Macron is a center right banker and by US Standards would be a mainstream Republican.
You extremist say funny things.

Tsuke seemed pretty interested in France...
He served in Hollande's Socialist government which was pretty left in its policies until they started driving the rich out of France.I don't know. For all I know the choice of Le Pen vs Marcon could have been as laughably bad as the two jackasses we had to choose from.
I'm just pointing out that good ole Don here calling Marcon a socialist was a typically ignorant thing for him to say.

So is the vote in France.
Actually what I found interesting, was Macron's speech in front of the Louvre particularly the tune played as he made his entrance.*Normally you would hear the "La Marseillaise" which is the French National Anthem BUT he made his entrance to "Ode de Joy" which is the EU National Anthem.* Deduce what you like from that, but surely even the French are not that naive, and it should tell them who he serves. And in all honesty I do not think it is France.

I'm always more interested in what Britain is doing than in what is happening on the Continent, so, Brexit had more meaning for me than the French elections. The Continent already showed its aversion to change in the Dutch elections.
