Economy almost at full employment

Uh, yeah. Because there was.

I had no idea that you knew so little about the economy. Why do you post here w/ such little knowledge?
I can't believe liberals can be so dishonest.......ten fucking trillion reasons why you can't claim Obummer gave us a good economy......

Maybe a small influence, but you'd have to show me the policies that he implemented that would have that kind of rapid effect. Generally, any Presidential action wouldn't have that kind of immediate impact.

Dude, come on. Trump chased away the illegals... They had to hire on the books.

On balance, Obama did a better job as a steward of the economy and our foreign policy than the guy you voted twice for: George Dumbya Bush. Who is arguably among the worst bottom five presidents of all time.
So with that backdrop in mind, do you ever think to yourself how much credibility you really have to complain how horrible you thought Obama was?

Come on Cypress, that's simpleton talk. The econony works on much more than that. In a business meeting one would get laughed out of the room for that response. And to think the Fed and easy money policy (Q.E.) doesn't figure into this just shows ones lack of understanding of how our economy works

I think politicians love threads like this where people may understand the results but have no understanding of the cause of them.

That's actually pretty amazing. 4.4% unemployment right now. I know that doesn't reflect everyone, but it's still a remarkable # considering where we were in 2009.

Trump complains a lot about the situation he inherited, but it was nothing like what Obama inherited 8+ years ago. It was a slow recovery historically, but it WAS a recovery - quite the opposite of the dire predictions from some after the stimulus passed.

It wasn't a recovery and the numbers are still fudged,

If Trump does even half of what Obama did for the economy, both he & you will be calling it the greatest prosperity EVAH.

Obama presided over the worst post-war recovery on record. You have to be pretty partisan give Obama accolades on the economy. The economy is about a 'term behind' in the sense we should have seen the current numbers after his first term instead of after 8 years of Obama-nomics.

So many of his policies were jobs killers: climate change, EPA regulations, business regulations, deficit spending, immigration policy. In terms of the economy, we lost half a decade because of Obama's policy and regulations.

That's why there's so much optimism in the business community. Trump just needs to follow through with his campaign rhetoric and the economy should take off. But it's still early because right now it's still the Obama/Trump economy.

A year from now it will be the Trump economy and it [the state of the economy] will have much to do with how 2018 pans out.

No sources?

You've heard of the CBO, right?

You've heard of the Dow Jones Average, right?

Do you dispute that the stock market tripled? Do you dispute that 15 million jobs were created?

You didn't answer my question about the apples.

I already addressed this in post 35 which you "argued" against twice now with no data, no links, no facts. lol

You can find any link for anything on google. Your argument about jobs is ridiculous in light of the fact that the unemployment rate was 9.3% when Obama took office, and 4.7% when he left office. Do you dispute those figures? Do you need "links" for them?

And the stock market tripled, period. To try to distill that down to a single reason that had nothing to do w/ Obama is pure partisan hackery. The market stopped its steep slide and turned around - coincidentally - when the stimulus passes and started to take effect.

Again - do you like apples? You probably argued that the prosperity of the '90's had nothing to do w/ Clinton, and that the crash of '08 had nothing to do w/ Bush. Partisan blinders.

"Jobs killers"? He averaged 200,000 jobs a month. 9.3% unemployment to 4.7%.

You have to be pretty partisan to ignore what he inherited. The President you elected twice was one of the most fiscally irresponsible in history, and the economy crashed on his watch. And now you're lecturing people about what kind of President is good for the economy.

Trump's policies are the same trickle-down smoke & mirrors we've seen before. If there are 65 million ultra-rich in the country, then yeah - the GOP will do very well.

Your hero, Ronnie Raygun set the standard for presidential accomplishment, when he said "are you better off than you were four years ago?". Are we better off now, than we were when they guy you voted twice for was booted from office?

Yes we are. Obama was able to make substantial and substantive progress cleaning up the disaster the guy you voted twice for left him.

So use google to find data, links, or facts to dispute what I already addressed in post 35 instead of just repeating your same argument.

With regards to apples and Bill Clinton, you're trying to deflect to another subject altogether in attempt to disguise that I've destroyed your position.

What data that I've listed do you dispute? Do you dispute the unemployment figures I posted? Do you dispute how much the market increased, and when it turned around? Do you dispute how many jobs were created?

When Obama took office, there were 32 million on food stamps. At the peak point, there were between 47 and 48 million on food stamps. There are still over 12 million MORE on food stamps that when Obama took office despite your claim that unemployment went down.

Do you dispute those figures? I can provide a link. What you can't rectify, without puckering up to Obama's ass and excusing him as the cause of the increased food stamp use, is how so many more were working yet so many more were depending the government. The two don't go together.

Do you dispute that despite claims that unemployment went down, food stamp use went up drastically? What you can't do without kissing Obama's ass in the process is explain why that can happen.

actually, four years ago we weren't better off than we were four years before four years ago......so your hero, Obummer changed the standard to "who gives a fuck, just vote for me"......
