Former Obama administration National Security Adviser Susan Rice on Wednesday declined a request to testify next week before a Senate subcommittee, citing separation of powers between the executive and legislative branches and the fact that the invitation was not bipartisan.

Rice’s decision to decline the invitation to testify on Russia’s election meddling came in a letter from her lawyer, Kathryn Ruemmler, to the leaders of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism, Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.).

If the Russian investigation is such a big deal why don't they subpoena Rice?

They won't, because Rice has some credibility issues; and since democrats can't control the questions, they would prefer she not talk about unmasking Flynn. Or how Flynn got unmasked or who knew what when.

Since that narrative is set in stone, they'd prefer to keep it that way.

Ya it sucks to have to account for your behaviors-
and now that Obama is gone she doesn't make waves with that crowd by citing

She's obstructing an investigation, but it's pretty clear Comey isn't interested in unmasking-
he's a power junkie like everyone else ,and it's not in his interest to curb IC powers.

It's a dog and pony show anyhow.The Deep State is virtually untouchable,and Congress is hopelessly partisan

The Republicans are interested in IC abuse -the Dem's are interesting in finding a "gotcha"
The Repub's wanna grill Rice on her extraordinary behaviors,and the Dem's do not want to disturb that sleeping dog.

The Dems are content on a never ending fishing expedition -as long as it's damaging to Trump they don't care about any real findings that don't fit their narrative.
The IC just wants to preserve it's cloak and dagger powers

You notice how they can't get to the bottom of the Russia investigation but the investigation into Flynn's unmasking was open and shut.

Susan Rice is just like Lois Lerner and Hillary,
Don't say anything, don't know anything, didn't see anything

Crooks have a way of getting theirs in the end, which Hillary did in spades

Lois and Susan are finished politically, probably be selling Avon soon. And I mean no disrespect to Avon Sales people
