You've been talking to 3D again. Jackson did more for the poor and working class in this nation than any President before and after him till TR. He played a substantial role in opening the interior of this nation, promoted infrastructure development, ended the threat of foreign invasion and created a national banking system.
He certainly had major flaws and failures but he was also the most significant US president between Jefferson and Lincoln.
