Wa Post Poll Shows If The Election Were Held Today, Trump Would Still Beat Clinton :)

Kasich would have been a very good President - possibly great.

Still weird to me that we ended up w/ Trump/Clinton. Too many candidates on the GOP side that split the neverTrump vote, and a strangely thin Dem field.

the dem field was "Strangely thin" (lol) because Clinton rigged the primaries and made sure no one ran against her. She had tim kaine step down as head of the DNC and put her own girl DWS in charge. Then Tim got the VP slot for his cooperation. Rigged from start to finish.

I don't disagree w/ that at all, and the party was happy to help her rig it.

Damned shame, though. It's actually amazing how close Bernie came; I remember him in the beginning speaking passionately to crowds of about 50, and being regarded as a fringe guy who couldn't break 5%. It's funny to think now that Hillary beat him out on "electability."

yeah and I can't say for certain how things would go but if you look how bernie performed in michigan when the clinton team had no idea how much they were going to be blown the fuck out there.. I think sanders could have had a very realistic shot of beating trump. More so than clinton.

I like to think Bernie could have beaten Trump, but I don't think he was ready for Trump's level of campaigning. He would have been "kooky Bernie" right out of the box, and Trump would have had a field day fearmongering about his positions and the whole "socialist" thing.

That's just it, she didn't. Bernie was much more likeable.

I think if the Democrat Party had just abandoned all pretenses of reasonableness and gone full bore with socialism, they would have won. Europe did that long ago.

Not interested, but I know not to rely on your statistics . Well?

Why not? It's all done with stat programs. Until I conduct my own survey of post Trumpeon depression and hand grind out the Bradley effect you can complain.

As to "well," I wasn't allowed to vote in the primary. I will admit, however, that the shy trumpers who were Hillary haters were underestimated. Given a repeat shot, that fact would enter into my thinking. I still believe Sanders would have lost by far more than Hillary. "Would have" answers are definitionally meaningless unless they indicate something about "will do" answers.

Outside the liberal and MSM bubble nobody gives a crap ......

and everyone else everywhere in the entire world. :palm: What you have defined is not a bubble but a universe within which is a bubble of Fox watching assholes.

People care about foreign affairs.

Not a registered dim or committed a felony?

Agreed. And I thought polls were more scientific therefore more accurate nowadays. Makes the polls with Reagan vs. Carter look almost good.

I wonder if dims will make a similar mistake again.

:)

The poll result (just 1000 participants ain't high power) makes perfect sense and is therefore meaningless. Republicans won with Trump and so they would vote for him, Democrats lost with Hillary and so they would vote for someone else hoping for a winning outcome.

This is the biggest "DUH" poll ever. I for one know Trump voters have no buyers remorse. I never said they did. I say they should, but I don't expect a bit of compassion or rationality from the white tribe party. If anything they wish he was a BIGGER MORE MENTALLY DERANGED RACIST ASSHOLE than he is. Had the poll questioned Republicans if they would rather have voted for Adolph Hitler than Trump, many would have said yes.

CRY HARDER, SNOWFLAKE

:evilnod:

One last note on this: it's completely delusional to think that Comey's October Surprise didn't decide the election.

It definitely did. It solidified a negative impression of Hillary, so of course it still shows up in polls today. But that is a completely bogus conclusion on your part.

Given the election was decided by about 80,000 votes in 3 states, there is no doubt whatsoever that Comey's intrusion had the decisive effect. Why deny that? It affects your credibility. It's obvious to even a casual observer of politics.

Did you have your mind made up who were going to vote for by October?
