She only deals with men and says that women usually come out better than after divorce.

Barbara Johnson-Stern heads up the UK's first law firm for men only

According to Johnson-Stern, not only do we severely underestimate the trauma suffered by men in divorce, but settlements are often biased in favour of women

She knows her views won’t be popular, but she feels women — and it’s women who instigate 65 per cent of divorces — often have a sense of entitlement

i used to work for a family court and I can tell you it was pretty traumatic for me in my early 20's to see 50 year old men bawling their eyes out to me in private over how much their lives were completely fucked.

Ever so slowly; Courts in the US are slowly making changes in the idea that women are the best providers for the children and that it's the man's responsibility to make sure his "family" doesn't suffer, monetarily.

I think part of the problem is, is that men do feel their responsible (no matter what the circumstances) to provide for the children and don't contest the preceding's as vigorously as they should.
This is also changing; but even when men win custody, they don't usually sue for support.

Courts should order psych eval's for both parties; not to solve the divorce that are causing the divorce, but to make a better determination about who is better to have the custody.

There are numerous video's available, that tell men not to leave the home (no matter how bad the circumstances are), not to reply to nasty texts, watch what the post on places like Facebook, to save any and all correspondence from the wife, and to keep a daily log for future reference.

I was watching a chat show with John Cleese last week. He said that his third wife really took him to the cleaners for £12 million. His lawyer told him under Californian law he got off very lightly. I mean ffs, they didn't even have children together. You'd have to be really stupid to marry there without a pre-nup.

You have to remember that California is the bastion for liberalism and under liberalism, a woman can do no wrong. :palm:

LOL American men must be the weakest species on earth? England too? LOL Our last election a draft dodging tax cheat and liar beat the most qualified candidate in our history because Americans are so so weak. A little woman scared the pants off the emasculated males and even women cheered the pussy grabber. Is there hope for a nation this weak? OMG what sissies Americans are.

The misogyny that shapes every aspect of our civilization is the institutionalized form of male fear and hatred of what they have denied and therefore cannot know, cannot share: that wild country, the being of women." Ursula K. Le Guin

"Feminism is hated because women are hated. Anti-feminism is a direct expression of misogyny; it is the political defense of women hating." Andrea Dworkin

"What's wrong with leading the way? We've played that role before, after all. We gave the world the secret ballot... that did so much to raise living standards and improve conditions for workers worldwide. We were a leader in extending to women the right to vote. We were barely a nation when we set the bar for bravery and sacrifice by common soldiers in foreign wars. We grew up out of racism and misogyny and homophobia to become a mostly tolerant, successful multicultural society. We did these great things because we know we are in it together. It is our core value as Australians [Americans would pee their pants]." Geraldine Brooks

Some men just never figured out that you need to find a compatible woman before you make the relationship permanent. Me, I never even wanted to date a gal who I couldn't converse with and agree with most things, Not everything, of course, just most things.

I knew, and liked as friends, several very cute girls in high school and never asked them out because, aside from being "nice kids", were kinda dumb.

There was this one girl, who I had a crush on since 2nd grade and was so beautiful made me nervous to even talk to. That plus she lived in the upper crust section of town and my family was definitely middle class. I finally got the courage to ask her out a year after graduation and I was in college. Amazingly she said yes; I took her to a nice restaurant and our conversation ran flat. A vegan with an opinion and judgemental about everything. I had a steak, which disgusted her. She even commented that my car was too big (I was of course still running my dad's hand-me-down Ford LTD and her family had Volvos). We became FB friends a few years ago and have had several conversations. She is, or course, divorced and not nearly the upper-middle class that she grew up as.

Do you ever develop your own opinions based on actual life experiences or do you always let liberal authors do it for you?

I married an angel, a beautiful blonde social worker with a Masters from Simmons College, her father a Major in the USMC (retired) from an old Winthrop Ma blueblood family, her mother an English professor who stayed home to raise their children.
At some point one of her supervisors who was terminally ill (at age 40, with young children) convinced her to use adderall which eventually led to alcohol abuse and finally infidelity.
I actually blame the incredibly selfish asshole who couldn't find a single woman but I suffered as a result, with the dissolution of a twenty plus year marriage.
Sometimes one can do their absolute best and still fail.

Go ahead and moralize, asshole.

The whole social worker thing would have been a no-go for me. That was your first mistake.

We've had a male rep lawfirm in our town for decades. Men often do get the worse deal in a divorce. It's often only a fair way to right a ship that was listing in men's favor throughout the partnership. I have no problem with mom being the preferred custodial parent of a minor kid, and therefore her getting the primary dwelling. That's going to seem raw deal to some men, but it's the right thing to do for the kids.
