He doesn't make the distinction between legal and illegal. If they want to come, cawacko could care less whether or not they follow the rules as long as they are allowed to come. In fact, he supports changing the rules because the rule breakers don't like them.

Let me help you out here Desh. The OP said there is no logical economic argument for illegals here. Actually there is one. Cheap labor is a benefit to this country.

Now I understand this all flies over your head but making an economic argument is not the same as making public policy. The discussion isn't about public policy.

If cheap labor is a benefit it is still preferable to pay citizens for that cheap labor. The illegals removes the bargaining power of the american laborer.

Actually it benefits the country the more productive the workers are. Thus having others do the low end labor, on the whole, is a plus for the country.

You didn't answer the question. Why do you keep conflating illegal immigration with legal immigration?

No serious person is arguing against LEGAL immigration. But somehow that doesn't get through to you open borders folks.

It is pointless trying to have a conversation with you around this if you aren't going to use the correct terminology and argue honestly

If you want to talk about empiric evidence look at how YOUR state has been decimated by ILLEGAL immigration.

And if you are arguing that all of these spics flying across the border are the "best and brightest" you are deluded.

I understand the difference between legal and illegal immigrants. I'm responding to the OP's question about the economics of illegal workers.

bullshit... .....and cheap labor is NOT a benefit to society if society is required to support the laborers with their tax dollars.....

sure, because there are only two possibilities in the world......to be an idiot or to be an idiot.......amazingly you have both sides covered.......I am for allowing any foreigner to get a work visa so long as his employer pays enough that the foreign worker and his family will not be on public support.......I want the employer to pay a surcharge of $1 per hour for every foreign worker hired to pay for the cost of the visa system........I want no FICA to be withheld from the worker's paycheck, because they will not be eligible for SS or Medicare, but I want the employer contribution to be paid so 1) there won't be a benefit to the employer from hiring all foreign workers and 2) it will help balance the SS and Medicare shortfalls......

cheap labor is not a benefit to society unless society is greedy......if it were, the cheapest labor would be of the greatest benefit and you WOULD support slavery.......keeping immigrants illegal so are they afraid to defend their rights is the next thing to slavery.......
