Thousands of Palestinians Rally in Support of Prisoners on Mass Hunger Strike

The strike, which was planned over the past few weeks, has expanded on Monday and is expected to include more than 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. The strike is led by Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti.

In the piece, Barghouti relays a number of personal stories about his run-ins with Israeli authorities and the subsequent imprisonments he has endured. He doesn't mention the crimes for which he was convicted, claiming that "an Israeli court sentenced me to five life sentences and 40 years in prison in a political show trial that was denounced by international observers."

So- anybody reading this who wasn't aware of the conditions in fascist Israel- well you are now. You also have a good grip on knowing which members here are morons and which are not.

What people like him don't want to understand is that the Israelis will never negotiate with the Palestinians unless they get their act together, have fresh elections and elect one leader who speaks for all. The situation at the moment is truly chaotic, how can anybody trust anything they say or do. I truly hope there is a Palestinian state but it won't come about whilst Hamas is so obdurate and inflexible.
