Troops weren't needed inside Iraq. We had plenty of air power and cruise missiles in the Persian Gulf that could have wiped out ISIS as it paraded through open desert. As usual, both sides' media spins miss the point. The truth hides behind a screen of babble from low-information pundits, the Right side of the Screen is as stupid as the Left.

The point about missing the ISIS parade is well taken.

But Obama didn't like the political optics of having to engage terrorists in Iraq [hence, the JV comment]---so years later, we still have ISIS.

They have brutalized and murdered thousands and essentially rid the region of Christians and non-Muslims.

The "JV" comment is completely misrepresented. He put that out there to marginalize them as a group, and to not give them any respect.

You would have had the American President refer to them as incredibly formidable and a worthy adversary.

no. he was comparing ISIS to AQ..it doesn't matter what he said as much as what he did NOT DO
-strafe /bomb ISIS in open desert

you should tell that to the people of Mosul (etc.) who were under the ISIS cruel boot for years.

ISIS created themselves. Which is sort of a banal statement but it apparently needs pointed out.
