WV is tired of winning

You really buy anything, don't you?

When oil prices go up, fracking increases. Most of the 11,000 jobs were support services jobs - the kinds of jobs that relate to an increase in fracking. Not the jobs Trump promised to bring back.

FYI: Neither Arch coal nor any of the larger mining corporations are involved in the natural gas industry listed as a "mining operation". The reason for the uptick in job openings is entirely due to the fact this administration is pulling the teeth of the runaway EPA and its non-represented laws that have never seen and up or down vote in congress.

Yep...there's a great deal of "fracking" going on in the mining industry. LMAO. There are several methods of mining COAL, and fracking has nothing to do with the mining of coal. There is the underground deep mines using drift, slope or shaft methods, the Surface Mine coal mine where there are several types thereof....mountain top, contour, or highwall mining.

Fracking is used in the natural gas industry. Its true one of the greatest safety risks involved with deep mining is the concentration of natural gas called "methane" which is odorless and colorless, and tasteless....but...that has nothing to do with the natural gas industry which drills into the surface in a vertical fashion and uses water under pressure (Fracking) to help locate and free the pockets of natural gas, and overcome the tensile strength of the compressed rock strata, using sand or other natural substances to keep the cracks open long enough to extract the gas....the gas once located and withdrawn is then introduced to a chemical agent especially designed to give ODOR to the natural gas. (the smell of rotten eggs that one gets when gas is tapped into and opened in the home) for safety reasons.

Uh huh. Which is why I said "relate to fracking" - I wasn't talking about actual fracking jobs.

Love how quick Darth was to thank that, though. Maybe you guys should all read up on the industry a bit before showing Trump w/ adulation?

Coal mining is in no way "related" to the natural gas industry. Coal mines harvest Coal.....Gas companies harvest natural gas. Read up? Why READ UP when one lives in the industry, is educated in the mining thereof, and has experience in the industries mentioned? One thing is clear...in relation to the mining industry you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground, and the only gas and fracking you are familiar with rests in the seat of your pants. One only 'READS UP' on a subject when he/she does not know what the hell they are talking about.

Hell....there are 3 natural gas wells and pumps on my farm. There is nothing intrusive about them....they take up no more than a 20 x 30 foot space surrounding the well. And there is no way in hell that the water table can become polluted by natural gas, water or sand that are natural to the earth's strata. Its total BS when someone says they have opened their water faucet and flames came out. I defy anyone to document and prove such an occurrence. FYI: Water has a distinct viscosity.....Gas and Water can not both occupy the same space...thus, FRACKING...by pressurized water.

Look at the details of the report. The 11,000 jobs that Darth references in the OP aren't directly coal mining jobs. They're support services jobs that were mostly created from an increase in fracking - "Mining support activities."

There is nothing in here that points to any resurgence of coal mining, or that bodes well for the future. Queen Snowflake is right - the misrepresentation of this report is giving a lot of unemployed workers in that industry false hope.

I doubt you live in coal country so I don't expect you to know much about the industry.

not my point, but consider this then..if China doesn't care about clean coal -why should we for export?

Because we share something with China, the atmosphere.
If you had children you might understand.
My youngest son was born with asthma.
He is 6'6" tall but has tiny hands like the Donald...because he cannot do physical work.
Thank God he won a 100% scholarship because of his huge brain.
By 2025 it is theorized that half of all children will be born with asthma but just keep selling death and madness...it is what you do best.

Installing solar panels manufactured in China. They were so thrilled about that they voted for Trump.

im afraid of the future of solar panels. I think this whole company pays me for the electricity my panels produce will not last much longer.

you know dems would kill fracking if they could :3

"That's Physical, We're Intellectual!"

Soft, spoiled girlymen feel threatened by those who work at physically taxing jobs. Miners, oilfield workers, lumberjacks are all deplorable to the squeaky-voiced, pencil-necked, hollow-chested Dimmycrats.

so you have a giant kid with small manhood, and suddenly coal is bad.

well people in West Virginia and beyond need jobs, so they can raise and feed their normal children. Whom I guess would be mutants if the impact of coal on health was even 10% of your conspiracy theory.

Until you get India and China to stop burning fossil fuels please stfu and let this country get back on track.
