very good point..Islam is not about compassion either like Christs teachings

That's kind of the point I made earlier.

In a superficial sense Allah=God because Muslims Christians and Jews claim Abraham. It's when you start getting into the details it gets trickier: for example, they seem like two very distinct beings. Where Allah is aloof, God walked in the garden with somebody before Noah [I used to know this backwards and forwards but im rusty lol].

In other words, Allah seems pretty unapproachable compared to the Judeo-Christian God.

For Christians to refer to God as Allah would lead to confusion. They are better off with two distinct names.

There's really no point pretending that the cesspool of internet Islamophobes cynically do not point to the actions of a small group of criminal terrorists to ostracize and de-humanize one billion people of the Islamic faith.

There is evidently a medical cure for Islamophobia on the market. I recommend you check if your insurance covers it!

I had no idea an obscure message board forum had scholarly theology experts!

Normally, I try to learn and read about Islam from trained, Islamic scholars. Currently, my favorite is Dr. Juan Cole, professor of Islamic Studies at U of M. But you are blowing my mind!

Islam is submission to Allah's will..maybe I'm wrong but I see little emphasis on compassion to takfir
- in fact convert or die seems to be more the rule.

Christians believe you gotta believe too for salvation-but there is no (current) emphasis on killing those who do not,
and compassion is expressed as universal love for your fellow man

Then maybe you'd like to study under Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He holds a BA and Ph.D in Islamic and Koranic studies from the University of Baghdad lol.

You don't need a doctorate in theology to see the distinction between God and Allah. In fact, anyone with a superficial grasp of it can see the differences.

Mohammed received verses for the Koran in a cave. Seems a little sketchy just on the face of it.

now that you do, you might take advantage of it to repair your ignorance.....then you wouldn't assume that islamaphobia is the only explanation for objecting to the bombing and murder of people worshiping freely.....
