good insight.. by now we've learned that any Trump conversation -or any conversation about a Trump conversation
( if you follow) was seen- and seen unmasked- by a wide variety of players-
including not just so called neutral parties, bu Obamatrons also

They thought they could play footsie with the intel, knowing the breaking of law is somewhat subjective
and more importantly required to be applied against every single incidental collection in a n individual manner.

Meaning they figured nobody was going to go back and check logs,and then isolate the reports, and then apply a legal standards.
They got heisted on their own petard by the Russian investigation itself ,or we would have never known about Rice etc.
what a bunch of sleazy actors the Obamatrons are along with the politicized IC leadership under Obama..

Well, the media can only bury/ignore the unmasking for so long.

Interesting turn of events though. The Russian thing was 24/7 for months; then Trump accuses Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower; and though the claim was baseless in the sense it didn't involve wiretapping, it led to Nunes uncovering the fact citizens were illegally unmasked under the Obama administration.

Then it led to Susan Rice as the potential culprit.

In other words, one theory is progressing while the other stuck in the mud.

I don't think Trump knew what he was doing with the Tweet. Then again, maybe he did lol. But it's doubtful the second theory [actually, the only theory is who done it in the second instance] but it stopped the leaks and has serious potential to become a scandal as big as Watergate.

If...Trump knew what he was doing, it was genius.

Maybe that's true in the political world you exist in, but it isn't in mine.

On this issue, here's what's being discussed.

Appropriate Surveillance

There is no “unmasking” scandal. The whole thing is bullshit, a reality TV storyline jointly spun by Republicans and the right-wing media. It’s a clever bit of misdirection and mystification meant to do two things. First, it’s supposed to validate the president’s March 4 tweet claiming that Obama put a “tapp” on his phone during the presidential campaign, though it does no such thing. Second, the “unmasking” drama is meant to make it seem as if the real scandal lies in the investigation into the Trump team’s foreign contacts—which Trump would have us believe was politically motivated—and not the contacts themselves.

In fact, it would have been a dereliction of duty for the Obama administration, which was still in charge of the country’s national security, to ignore suspicious contacts by members of the Trump transition team. After all, at the time, the FBI investigation into ties between the Trump campaign and Russian attempts to subvert the election had already begun. We also now know that Michael Flynn, who would soon assume Rice’s job, was a paid foreign agent of Turkey. According to ex-CIA Director James Woolsey, Flynn met with representatives of the Turkish government to discuss kidnapping Fethullah Gülen, a government critic who lives in Pennsylvania, and sending him back to Turkey outside of normal extradition channels. (Flynn denies that this happened.) Trump himself has alleged financial ties with Russian mobsters. At the time of the alleged unmasking, all these men were still private citizens. If they were talking to targets of American surveillance, the people in charge of our national security had an obligation to understand why.

story is still breaking but I heard on Circa (?) that Rice INCREASED the pace of the unmasking/log use
as the campaign went along. that is political behavior

It seems to have started in July ( Trump nominated) and picked up pace .

She's a known liar as well as one of Obama's most political operatives .
She lied about this as well

Essentially we now have a 2 track investigation. the usual "Russian collusion" and now abuse of the IC
