The electoral college violates the constitution

You lose. And will lose, because the smaller states will never amend and everyone is treated equally under the law. No on is treated different.

Stop being butt hurt and move on.

Watermark is in a perpetual butt hurt state.
It began when his dad kicked his cheating mom out and then made him go live with her and her boy friend.

Due to his "misfortune", he now feels he's entitled.

I don't see the EC going away anytime soon, however, I think this is one of the more reasoned arguments for changing how it is currently implemented:

There’s now another suit, filed in Colorado this week, where two Democratic electors are trying to undo the Colorado law that demands that all nine electors vote for the winner of the state’s popular vote (Hillary Clinton in this instance). They seek to be freed up to vote for someone of their choosing, neither Clinton nor Trump. As they put it: “Plaintiffs may vote for a consensus candidate, other than Clinton or Trump, upon whom electors from both parties and along the ideological spectrum can agree, so as to prevent the unqualified Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence from ascending to the highest offices in the United States.” These electors aren’t relying on the Equal Protection argument, but rather on the idea that the whole purpose of the Electoral College was to allow electors to vote as they saw fit, and state laws forcing them to support a candidate renders the whole idea of electors “superfluous.” The Colorado plaintiffs claim that the Constitution intends for the Electoral College to “be a deliberative and independent body free to cast votes for whomever they deem to be the most fit and qualified candidates.” These plaintiffs allege that “nominees for President and Vice-President, Donald Trump and Mike Pence, represent a unique danger to the Republic and embody the very reason why the Founders created the Electoral College.”

That is messed up if that really happened to him.

YEP and he hated his "new daddy".

Then his real father steps in afterwards and tries to make amends by helping him with college and after graduation, letting him live rent free, in a house he owned, plus gave him a monthly allowance to live on (food, utilities, probably weed, etc.).

I hope you're not making fun of him for what he had to go through.

So basically, Democrats in Colorado don't believe in representing the voters of their State.
Typical liberals. :palm:

The reason I said it was one of the better arguments I've seen is because that is why the EC was instituted in the first place. If the EC electors cannot vote their conscience, then the only reason it exists is to defend smaller states from not having any voice. But as I understand the history of the EC, it was created for both concerns.

I hope you're not making fun of him for what he had to go through.

NAH; because there are plenty of people who had to go through circumstances, that were out of their control.
I'm biatch slapping him; because he's nothing more then a big child, with entitlement problems, who thinks he's cute by being contrary.

He has the knowledge to probably be a pretty good person, he just doesn't have the intelligence or the desire.

Did I forget that he's admitted to being scared of the dark, has OCD, and severe anxiety issues; all of which have contributed to him being pretty much destined to a life of non-procreation.

If it wasn't for his father; he would have been living in a cardboard box, with a sign that reads "Will do Information Technology work for drugs".

:truestory:

Every election system that departs from one person one equal valued vote is susceptible to a strong argument of denial of equal protection of the laws, and I care not what mental gymnastic jurisprudence has been perfected to undermine it. End of story.

Your bitch Hillary lost and you still aren't man enough to accept it. End of story, pussy.

LOL @ rightists who are mad because it's a pretty damn good argument.

This wouldn't effect the senate because the composition of the senate is specially protected from amendment, but an amendment absolutely could abolish the electoral college. The courts have already ruled that malapportion is unconstitutional under the 14th, and the EC is malapportion. The 14th amendment repealed the part of the constitution dealing with the electoral college, and requires popular vote, i.e. everyone being equally protected under the law, to certify the election of the president. No more rural special snowflakes demanding special treatment, you're just like every other American now, suck it up bitch.

?????.....if the electoral college violates the constitution why would you have to amend the constitution to get rid of it?.......

Well it's circular reasoning to be sure. The electoral college does not live comfortably with equal protection of law.
Well as a biologist I worry about the equal protection clause undermining the laws of biology cause without it Skidmark would have been selected for extinction a long time ago as he should have been.

The 14th amendment, which guarantees every American "equal protection" under the law, effectively repealed the electoral college, which is a system that arbitrarily gives some Americans a privileged vote compared to others. Hillary Clinton is the true and legitimate president, Donald Trump is a dictator who has taken power in contradiction to the will of the people and the 14th amendment of the constitution.
a whole new level of whining......citing the constitution
bravo man bravo:clink:

Is not the (electoral) College spelled out in the Constitution?

are you actually arguing the TEXT of the Constitution itself is un-Constitutional???

Why don't you read the Constitution before commenting on it twatburger?
The term College is not even in the original.
Fucking idiot.

Lefties were digging the electoral college when they thought Hillary "had the math". Trump flipped their precious map and now they act like spoiled brats.
