Oh, hi
How can Trump possibly blame the dems?
Interesting, first time ever to make a thread with Tapatalk.
Anyhoo, how is it the dems fault? Trump claims to be this great negotiator, and he could not get his party to agree.
I believe, if the pubs had all come together, the dems could not have stopped a repeal, I might be wrong on the numbers, say a filibuster, but I don't see how the dems are responsible for this.
How can Trump possibly blame the dems?
“We had no Democratic support,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “They weren’t going to give us a single vote.”
You gotta have more than that.....even if the tv talking heads say it.....
That statement is certainly true but its a leap to say he was blaming dems for anything.....
That may be your interpretation of his statement but that doesn't say your interpretation is the truth of the matter....
He made a simple, factual statement about Dem support, nothing more, nothing less..... that I'm aware of.....
Not a single republican vote on Obamacare.
He left that part out.
Its also irrelevant....thats not what we're talking about.
Besides, there was no vote, so we'll never know for sure.
Might be irrelevant to you .. but that doesn't make it so. It makes what he said downright laughable.
Additionally, Trump rejected democrat attempts to work with him to make Obamacare better .. he rejected them. Also laughable.
Of course he would reject attempts to revamp Obamacare....his aim was to repeal it, not fix it.....
by the same token, Dems would not suggest ways to make his plan work better either.....
All that is irrelevant anyway, we're off the topic of the op....ie, his blaming dems is a stretch unless he said more than that one liner...
which could be since I haven't been following it that closely....

Why didn't he mention the pubs he didn't get support from?
He did.....but I don't remember his exact words....he did say they were 15 or 20 votes short....
So interpret that as saying he was blaming both sides....lol
