First Attempt a MAJOR legislative DEFEAT? Obamacare not repealed!

I love how people who never studied law believe they know more about the Constitution than people who have actually studied constitutional law.

How do people who have studied constitutional law come to different conclusions then? If they've studied it they would understand what it says right?

Trump has, as POTUS, awesome powers he can bring to bear on recalcitrant members of the far right to sway them. From the bully pulpit to patronage, to campaign finance, etc.

Trumps real problem on this issue is he has not done the groundwork with Hospitals, Insurance Companies, Physicians and professional associations that will be needed to affect long term changes.
trump has a few problems. You are correct...he believes he can strong arm some Republicans into submission. He's about to learn that he has less power over them than the Koch Bros. do. Can he veto bills that send money to states of "No" voters? Sure. At least he can try.

His bigger problem is that he knows little or nothing about the state of health insurance in this nation, and he's either too lazy to educate himself, or he's just not capable.

He doesn't even know that his own employees obtain health insurance from his company's own private policy, as opposed to the exchanges.

He also seems to be the only one in the country who didn't realize this is a complex issue.

Trump's comments sparked questions about whether his employees receive insurance through the health insurance exchanges set up under Obama's signature law, which would mean he does not offer private health insurance to those employees.
Asked by a reporter after the event whether his employees have health care coverage through Obamacare, Trump replied: "Some of them. Most of them, no."
Clarifying Trump's remarks, the general manager of Trump's property in Doral, David Feder, said "99% of our employees are insured through our hotel."
"Over 90%, without a doubt," he added.
Feder said all of his employees who work more than 30 hours a week are eligible for the company's private health insurance coverage and that he presumed only part-time or seasonal workers would have to go through Obamacare exchanges. He said the company "picks up 70% of premiums."

The demokrauts still own Obama Care.....when it implodes, they can explain why people's medical card's they have spent thousands of dollars on....will not be accepted for non payment issues. At the current rate.....in about 1 year, Obama Care will be insolvent. About the time of the med terms. Trump is correct...its time to move.org, Obama Care is a problem that will soon solve itself, just leave it alone. And perhaps when it goes belly up....both sides of the isle can began work on real reform.

It keeps a huge number of people in luxurious lifestyles, so they just love the ambiguity.

I wasn't alive when Nixon was president so I don't know what went into passing Medicare.
Correction it was Johnson not Nixon. You weren't alive when the constitution was written either so how do you know so much about that?

Obamacare is not imploding...
Republicans are crying wolf...
When it doesn't "go up in flames" as promised, defeating it will be much much harder next time around.
As of right now the AHA has never been more popular at 83%...

Can I ask you why you seem so hostile towards the constitution?

Yea....that's a good question.

And I cut you slack earlier on the Nixon thing. Low hanging fruit, as it were.

I am hostile to the way it is often used to resist change for the better. The Constitution is subject to interpretation and keeps many lawyers in luxury arguing interminably about minutiae. Have you discovered yet why Johnson was able to get both Medicare and Medicaid through Congress?
