The internet does not feed you now does it? As far as most of the other things you are referencing, I pretty much generate most of those on the ships I am on. The federal insurance from the banks would not cover squat for me personally. Any other antidotes you would like to try?

Look chief, every one knows you do not live your entire life on some magically self sufficient ship.

You drive on our roads, highways, and bridges. You rely on food inspectors to make sure your food isn't poisoned. You drink from public water supply systems. Your shit gets flushed and treated into the same public waste treatment systems as anyone here. You benefit from publically funded medical research and agriculture.

You are a completely reliant on government and the public commons as anyone here. If not more. That a fact, jack.

Not really as much as you. It is not a magical ship. Just a ship. Self reliant for the most part because it has to be. We do not drag a public water supply hose from shore all over the oceans, nor a public waste line. Not all our stores come America either nor medical care. In that respect you are just plain old wrong, much like the assumption from another thread that you thought I am a fan of George Bush. Just wrong. does anyone remember trump saying all veterans should get 1 million dollars ? it would not be lawful, but it does not affect me. I say... go for it. that would be a cash bonanza to me, being a lowly servant to those who do hold debt notes. my business would explode into orbit. it would be so cool to see every Vietnam vet become a millionaire overnight. how much would it cost to give every living Vietnam vet 1 million and work out the payments to existing family members of every Vietnam vet. then the Korean war vets... how many dollars would that be ? did I forget ww2 ? those guys too and all in between. how many damned dollars ?

"We're trying to focus on both the recipients of the money and the folks who give us the money in the first place. I think it's fairly compassionate to go to them and say, 'Look, we're not going to ask you for your hard-earned money anymore.'"

Meals on Wheels also receives state and local funding as well as private donations. It relies on volunteers to provide many of its services.

A recent study showed that the organization helps keep seniors in their homes — and out of costly nursing homes — longer. The national Meals on Wheels organization says that it saves the country $34 billion per year by preventing seniors from falling and injuring themselves in their homes.
