Rump is willing to "go down" and take a hit when something like the Jeff Sessions scandal comes up. The media would have been talking about Sessions all weekend if Trump had not gone off the wall with his WireTap shit. Rump let his own creditability take ANOTHER hit rather than the likelihood that Sessions might go down in a media frenzy over the weekend. It worked. It gave the Republicans in Congress cover to avoid making comments on Sessionsgate.

The question is how many times can Trump go down this path before he takes a fatal hit.

Its pitiful that the American people don't have the attention span of a mite and allow the media to focus on Trumps lying tweet instead of the AG lying under oath about something that matters.

In the end there is nothing to the claim Obama wiretapped Trump and it will just fade away. Sessions however would not have survived the media focus over the weekend.

I don't recall Obama chastising a reporter for asking a difficult question when he promised to ask a simple one.

But, I did love the response to the question on increasing anti-Semitic behavior, didn't you? Orangetweet started out by referencing his electoral college win, followed by introducing his grandkids, daughter and son-in-law. He finished by saying there was going to be a lot more love.

I don't buy the whole "genius strategy" thing that Grind peddles about Trump.

I think he is a genuinely thin-skinned, rash human being. I think he tweets before he even thinks for 2 seconds about something. I think he has immense problems w/ self-control.

I always tip my cap to Conway. His campaign was an absolute mess when she took over. He had just taken a full week of the campaign to tweet about Miss Universe. She really was able to reign him in & get him to focus on message.

But what we're seeing now is just who he is.
