NEW BOMBSHELL: Jared Kushner and Mike Flynn met with the Russians in December

You seem to be contemptuous of the IC findings, but we know Russia's been meddling in elections all over Europe for years, it's not just the US. I don't think it's helpful to believe all these other countries are lying.

"Russia's alleged use of computer hacking to interfere with the U.S. presidential election fits a pattern of similar incidents across Europe for at least a decade.

Cyberattacks in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, France and Austria that investigators attributed to suspected Russian hackers appeared aimed at influencing election results, sowing discord and undermining faith in public institutions that included government agencies, the media and elected officials. Those investigations bolster U.S. intelligence findings of Russian meddling to help elect Donald Trump, a conclusion the president-elect has disputed — although he conceded Friday after a private intelligence briefing that Russia was among the possible hacking culprits.

“They’ve been very good at using the West’s weaknesses against itself, the open Internet to hack, the free media to sow discord, and to cause people to question the underpinnings of the systems under which they live,” said Hannah Thoburn, a research fellow at the Hudson Institute, a Washington think tank.

U.S. National Intelligence Director James Clapper told a Senate committee Thursday that Russian intelligence hackers, masquerading as third parties, have conducted attacks abroad that targeted critical infrastructure networks. “Russia also has used cyber tactics and techniques to seek to influence public opinion across Europe and Eurasia,” Clapper said.

Nothing at all in there about collusion.

because US/German relations are stable-
in fact Sec of Defense Mattis just did a NATO meeting where he told NATO we value the alliance.

It's Russian/US/NATO relations that are in a crisis, and it's those relations that need attention.

trump's been very critical of Merkel and that contributes to instability.

"After the campaign, during which Trump accused Merkel of “ruining Germany,” German media reported that Merkel’s team was hoping for a change in tone when Trump took the White House. They were quickly disappointed.

In a recent interview with the Times of London, Trump blasted her Syrian refugee policy as a “catastrophic mistake” and grouped her in with Russian President Vladimir Putin as people he would “start off trusting.” He added, “But let's see how long that lasts. It may not last long at all.”

People better get used to the idea that anyone in trump's team who was in contact with Russia is going to be under suspicion. Whether you want to believe it or not, Russia meddled in our business just like they've been meddling in other governments all over Europe.
Declare war on and invade Russia. That's the ticket.

I can understand that......for the last decade everyone who voted Democrat has been under suspicion of being incredibly stupid. Thus it only goes to follow......

the bolded above show just how tenuous all this is.

In our case it's: 3rd parties masquerading as state actors, and then state actors using cutouts to dump for wikileaks??

I mean this is Russian Spy Novel stuff.
Consider Occams Razor: the striaght-line simple explanation is usually the most true.

Of course anything is possible, but i haven't seen anything other then "conclusions"
from a highly politicized/ institutionally rabid anti-Russian IC leadership that were supposed to take as the gospel truth?

I'm sorry. I simply have no confidence in an IC that Obamatrons "seeded" with low-level information
designed to produce reports/analysis of record...

When are you guys going to admit all these meetings are just weird?

perhaps when we find out that no president before Trump ever had someone from his administration meet with a Russian......do you think we're going to find that?.....(oops, Chrispy forgot to thread ban me)......

The weirdness that of all the countries the US deals with and of all the countries we can improve relations with, the trumpists are concentrating their attentions on Russia. And they didn't even wait for the inauguration to start. Why haven't they reached out to Angela Merkel, for example?

as I recall, the Demmycrats were livid about communications Trump had with Britain, Mexico....whereelse......during the week after his election......seems to me you were convinced he had destroyed the entire American diplomatic strategy.....now you pretend he didn't talk to anyone......

Of course I did. But the point remains, it was no improper and is common. You are making a big deal out of nothing. And of course you have no problem with him meeting anyone else, just the big bad skeeery Russians.

Yawn.

trump may be gullible enough to believe Putin's an honorable man but smarter people know better. People who have been in government and seen how Putin operates don't trust him.

Lindsey Graham said "When it comes to Russia, he has a blind spot. The bottom line is that Putin is disrupting democracy everywhere..."

John McCain said ""Have no doubt, what the Russians tried to do to our election could have destroyed democracy," he said. "And that's why we've got to pay a hell of a lot more attention to the Russians and the things they're doing in Europe -- and right now, they're trying to determine the outcome of the French election, and they're using cyber."

Ben Sasse said "I don’t understand what the president’s position is on Russia. But I can tell you what my position is on Russia: Russia is a great danger to a lot of its neighbors, and Putin has as one of his core objectives fracturing NATO, which is one of the greatest military alliances in the history of the world. And so Putin is a mess. He’s committed all sort of murderous thuggery, and I am opposed to the way Putin conducts himself in world affairs, and I hope that the president also wants to show moral leadership about this issue.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., called Putin "a former KGB agent" and "a thug..."

Paul Ryan called Russia a "global menace" and said Putin "does not share our interests; he frustrates our interests."

we know that christie -we know about the Russian hacking of the DNC and Podesta.

and what did the Russians find out about the Demmycrat Party when they hacked?.......that the Demmycrats were as stupid during the election as they've been since the election......

silly Nomad doesn't want to admit that if the FBI had any evidence they would have leaked it to the NYT by now.....
