The New York Times said on Thursday afternoon that Pres. Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and disgraced former National Security Adviser Gen. Mike Flynn met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December between Trump’s election and his inauguration.

The White House made the stunning admission less than an hour after Attorney Gen. Jeff Sessions recused himself from investigations of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Funny how none of these people met the Guatemalan ambassador, or the Irish ambassador.

And why does Jared Kushner get involved, he has no formal government position even under trump, let alone before trump was inaugurated.
 
The woman is in desperate need of a life. If ever an uglier picture of a disgruntled, impotent, old lady exists, Christiefan fits the mental image.

Maybe they met because, as Trump stated numerous times, he wants better relations.

Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and now a senior adviser, also participated in the meeting at Trump Tower with Flynn and Sergey I. Kislyak, the Russian ambassador. But among Trump’s inner circle, it is Flynn who appears to have been the main interlocutor with the Russian envoy — the two were in contact during the campaign and the transition, Kislyak and current and former U.S. officials have said.

But the extent and frequency of their contacts remains unclear, and the disclosure of the meeting at Trump Tower adds to the emerging picture of how the relationship between Trump’s incoming team and Moscow was evolving to include some of the president-elect’s most trusted advisers.

It is common and not improper for transition officials to meet with foreign officials. But all meetings between Trump associates and Russians are now significant as the FBI investigates Russian interference in the U.S. election and whether anyone close to Trump’s campaign was involved.

The meeting in December came just as the Obama White House was preparing to sanction Russia and publicly make its case that Moscow had interfered with the 2016 election.

People better get used to the idea that anyone in trump's team who was in contact with Russia is going to be under suspicion. Whether you want to believe it or not, Russia meddled in our business just like they've been meddling in other governments all over Europe.
 
all of these fake news "bombshells" have become quite boring. the thrill is gone. these fake news "bombshells" have become more like sparklers or charcoal snakes; entertaining for small children and simpleminded adults.

LOL, what is weird about it? It cracks me up how simply pointing out the truth, makes me an apologist. You guys are just so hysterical that unless someone believes every claim about Trump, they are Trump supporters. This kind of hysterical reporting and concern only makes Trump look better and makes his claims about people lying about him seem credible.

The weirdness that of all the countries the US deals with and of all the countries we can improve relations with, the trumpists are concentrating their attentions on Russia. And they didn't even wait for the inauguration to start. Why haven't they reached out to Angela Merkel, for example?

And you are an apologist. You've said many times that you've criticized trump for one thing or another, yet you pounce on the rest of us who do. Just like you did in this post.

I only "pounce" when your claims are ridiculous. The more these types of claims spread, the better Trump looks and that is why I don't approve of them.

Russia is a huge country and right behind us in superpowers. It makes sense to meet with them. I don't know if Trump has or has not reached out to Merkel, as far as I am aware, she doesn't like him. And, Trump has tried to reach out to England, but they are debating his visit. Oh, and how quickly you forget who came to visit him, ZOMG, Japan. Why did Trump with with an Axis member!!!!??

Why does Trump want to visit England???? Must be something fishy there. Right?

The trump people haven't been in contact with anybody as much as with Russia. Sure Abe met with him AFTER he was inaugurated. That's normal. Nobody was meeting with the Japanese ambassador back in August or September, though.

If you have info that the trumpists met envoys from other countries before the election, please share.
