I watched most of Rump's speech last night, the guy was able to give a "normal" presidential speech without insults or angry rants. He even espoused a mostly moderate policy and at some points almost liberal. I was impressed because I had serious questions as to if he had the ability to appear presidential. He clearly went for the low hanging fruit and sadly used the death of a Navy SEAL, which he was deflecting responsibility for just a few days prior, to gain political points.
That all being said.
I woke up this morning thinking of the abused spouse who's psychotic husband surprises her one night with a romantic home cooked dinner. I good percent of spouses would fall for it, oh, how great, he has changed... things are going to be better from now, he has really changed.
