If that was her argument, it's why I over-looked it.
It's a ridiculous argument.
Why is it ridiculous? It's constitutional.

Thus speaketh the free riding mooch.it is very obvious once you give the takers anything, it can't be undone. That's why obama and his administration was willing to lie to the american people about Obamacare. They knew they just had to get their foot in the door and get the takers hooked on the new drug.
Make up your mind. Do you want a market based solution or a government solution?love how JPP's resident socialist supports the kick backs for massive insurance companies.
Not a very compelling argument, what you are doing now is clearly not working.I don't think that doing what everybody else is doing automatically makes it the right thing to do or the best thing to do.
to the tune of 18% of GDP.Not a very compelling argument, what you are doing now is clearly not working.

Why is it ridiculous? It's constitutional.
Article I, Section 8: The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States
With all due respect, I think it ridiculous because it does not consider the best health interests of the American people, nor the general welfare of this nation.
Beyond the article I quoted, there was no consideration of nationalized healthcare in the Constitution .. as there was no consideration of a plethora of modern issues in the Constitution.
Like Thomas Jefferson, I don't believe generations of Americans should be held to the standards and beliefs of the long dead. Like Jefferson, I believe the Constitution should be re-written with every generation to reflect the thoughts of the living.
Your comments reflect the thoughts of someone unconcerned about their fellow countryman .. no disrespect intended.
Why Obama’s Healthcare Law Is Constitutional
The individual mandate is not a threat to fundamental liberties.

If we are going to use Thomas Jefferson's words, one of my personal favorite presidents, as a prop for justifying universal healthcare then I would use his own words to counter that when he said that to compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical. Universal healthcare compels citizens to furnish funds for such a thing. Jefferson was for very limited government and he and Madison were so adamant about states rights and the 10th amendment that they wrote it into other states constitutions.
I just find it hard to believe that one so young spouts so much contemptible waffle about the Constitution and healthcare. It would seem to me that you ought to be far more interested that all US citizens have access to affordable healthcare. I don't really see why the US couldn't adopt some variation of the French model, what does your precious Constitution have to say about that?I also dont believe that "general welfare" includes things like healthcare, welfare, social security, and other programs not listed as a federal power in the constitution. General welfare to me means what generally contributes to our welfare, or basically our well being, so to me that means our inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness along with protection of our rights.
Yes and rapidly heading towards 20% and beyond.to the tune of 18% of GDP.

Sounds like you don't believe healthy neighbors are in your interests??

You let her be her, and you do you.
For fuck sake, man. She gets her own journey too.
I like her but her opinions are incredibly set in stone for one so young.

Yes I agree with that, however I guess we are all products of our environment.I am happy to see her head isn't so far up her ass like the droves of young adults making a career out of nothing but racial unrest, militant divisiveness, and general chaos for pay. They wouldn't have an original thought through lobotomy. Human bots. Dembots, if you will.
What the flip is wrong with being "set in stone", old-fashioned even? She gets to decide her stance.
Shame-aging. Nasty business, albeit it necessary to have in your arsenal. Still.
