Turns Out Trump And Every Republican Lied For Years About Obamacare Replacement Plan

The Force is With Me
A picture is emerging of the chaos surrounding the Republican plan to replace Obamacare. It turns that there never was a Republican plan to replace the ACA and Trump his party lied to the country for years about having a health care plan of their own.

A picture is emerging of the chaos surrounding the Republican plan to replace Obamacare. It turns that there never was a Republican plan to replace the ACA and Trump his party lied to the country for years about having a health care plan of their own.

The Washington Post painted a picture of a party that is a rudderless ship on health care:

While leaving most of the detail work to lawmakers, top White House aides are divided on how dramatic an overhaul effort the party should pursue. And the biggest wild card remains the president himself, who has devoted only a modest amount of time to the grinding task of mastering health-care policy but has repeatedly suggested that his sweeping new plan is nearly complete.
….
Yet some lawmakers, state leaders and policy experts who have discussed the matter with either Trump or his top aides say the administration is largely delegating the development of an ACA substitute to Capitol Hill. The president, who attended part of a lengthy heath-care policy session his aides held at Mar-a-Lago a week ago, appears more interested in brokering specific questions, such as how to negotiate drug prices, than in steering the plan’s drafting.
….
The legislative branch, the House first and foremost, is providing the policy,” said Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), who noted that the White House lacks “a big policy shop” and that Price and some key principals just recently got in place.

Republicans have been telling the country for years that they have a better way to do health care than the ACA, but this boast was a lie. Republicans in Congress have nothing. They are a deeply divided party that is getting zero leadership and guidance from their president. When Trump claimed that his health care plan would be immediately revealed during the campaign, he lied. When Republican Speaker Of The House Paul Ryan claimed that he had a better more patient-centered way on health care, that too was a lie. When Trump promised last week that his health care plan would be released soon, it was another lie.

Republicans have never had anything, which makes it likely that they are going to replace the ACA with nothing. Don’t be fooled by Republican promises; the plan has always been to take health care away and replace it with nothing.

Wrong as the Obummacare replacement plan is under a year old..................... God you are ignorant

I think that the biggest difference between a current republican plan and a constitutional conservative plan is that one is repeal and replace and the other is simply repeal. Replacing a universal healthcare plan should not be on the agenda of a conservative or a republican that is going by the constitution in my personal opinion. If the replace plan is simply telling each state to determine their own path for healthcare then that would be the ideal plan to me and would put the responsibility on the states as intended in the 10th amendment.

The latter isn't happening as the federal gov't has been involved way to long in health care so that's just a pipe dream.

It's an uphill fight I'll definitely agree but as Trumps election showed the country, anything is possible. Trump is not a conservative by any means but at the very least it slows down or changes the direction of an expansion of things like universal healthcare that would have definitely happened under Clinton.

Actually Trump said everyone would get insurance on the campaign trail so who knows what we could get with him.

So, Norah, you think Oklahoma can insure its residents without Federal help?

I think that it's up to Oklahoma and it's citizens to decide if Oklahoma wants to publicly fund statewide healthcare through tax money or if they leave that up to each citizen to purchase their own healthcare. I also think insurance companies should be able to compete across state lines.

Norah, have you studied that? If you had you would see it does little to cut costs. Do you also know the consequences of an uninsured populace?
Oklahoma could not afford to insure its population on its own. I don't think it could afford to run the state without federal help.

Have you studies that snowflake? is so what study guides did you use? The fact is that you make up stuff as you go, just like the clinten campaign did, and people are not buying into your lies and fake news. You have already lost.

I think the underlying problem is the out of control cost of healthcare, drugs, and other medical related things. I got hurt while practicing a couple of months ago and even with my parents insurance it was still a lot of money for basic care. It's approaching a racket in my opinion, or probably already there.

How many times did the House pass repeals, but now that they have a president that will sign it, they have not done it...

Interesting.

Actually Trump said everyone would get insurance on the campaign trail so who knows what we could get with him.
that would be cheap catastrophic insurance availability =like when you are in your mid 20's and that's all you really need
I'd look for HSA's also. Congress has a bunch of plans they need to settle on-they will take the lead.

as usual the Dem's bitch about "no replacement" when they had a chance to transition to SP -
they didn't even try ( make it an issue / draft bills)

Now Obamacare is in a death spiral and they yell at Trump.lol

What is wrong with universal healthcare? Every advanced society in the world has it. Even Thailand has recently introduced UHC.

Have you wondered just how much crime is caused by people not having decent healthcare? Your mental health provision is appalling, no wonder there are so many shootings!

US pays for much of new drug research -it's built in with patenting costs( why some drugs are in the 1000's of dollars range).
Pharmaceuticals is a good stock to own.

Trump is supposed to be trying to allow outsourcing -but there is also our INSANE FDA.

anyways..we need to be able for the US gov't to negotiate directly for drugs

My mental health provision? I'm not sure what you're talking about. I didn't create our insurance system.
