People get hung up the Biblical version of Creation without considering other possibilities. Creation could have been some sort of divine enlightenment of the chosen species to have dominion over the planet. Eating the apple in Eden could be a symbolic story of that enlightenment.

Like I said earlier, the ancient civilizations like Egypt seem to have sprung up from nothingness, and suddenly there was written language, science, arts, etc.

On an evolutionary calendar that is like going 0 to 60 in .02 seconds.

If man evolved, getting to this point without assistance seems incredibly improbable.

It's easy to look at a dinosaur and see how they could have evolved into birds. But apes into a man sitting in his home on a laptop communicating instantaneously with others around the entire planet?

No, I just can't buy that. I just can't buy that one species randomly flew light years beyond all others on the evolutionary scale.

Well, that's YOUR problem. What makes you think we're "light years beyond" anything in terms of actual evolution? Our society? Our technology? All that comes from a very small percentage of different genes from apes. Just because our technology has gotten exponentially better over the past 100 years or so doesn't mean we've evolved significantly in that time. We've gotten slightly taller on average as a species. That's about it.
