Jim Webb: "Democrats are acting like aristocrats"

I was listening to Ralph Nader do an interview with Robert Reich on Friday and Reich kept saying today's Democratic Party is one big fundraising machine. It's a big reason Pelosi still has the power she does because few can fund raise on her level.

That's what your much vaunted political system has resulted in, what else can you expect when Clinton alone spent $1.2 billion on her campaign? To us Brits that is truly truly shocking and highlights just how corrupt and broken things are.

Libya was sanctioned by the UN, unfortunately none of the great powers had the wit or the will to put in a strong and effective peacekeeping force after Ghaddadi was deposed.

He would not dislcose how he voted -but he said no way would he ever have endorsed Hillary Clinton

Repeating that mindless mantra of "peacekeepers" for a lawless nation run by militias
( who kidnapped the then Prime Minister for ransom) is excuse making I expect from Obama/Cameron/Clinton.
There was no accountable central gov't- no law and order. Even cities and neighborhoods were hiring militias for security.
The Blue Helmets are not cops. The separate warring factions- not produce order. They would have become targets

There was once a Democratic-Republican party. Maybe Webb should go restart that up for people who don't know which side of the fence they belong on.

The Republican Party is solidly on the Right. The Democratic Party is now solidly on the Left.

Trump spent about half that. Even spending twice as much as Trump, the Hillbag was still unable to buy the presidency. Proving that all the leftwing angst over Citizens United was manufactured bullshit.

it's not good. if it were just about ideas it would be fine, there would be compromise for the GREATER GOOD.
That concept is now lost as hyper-partisanship trumps anything-and attempts at compromise brings the shrill base out to block it.

It's obviously bad news that nobody puts country first in either party.
Webb does so and espouses it as a superior workable mannerism
