The Democrats are on a mission to convince the American voters their problems don't mean a thing. They aren't important.
If they don't have problems, the Democrats invent fake ones for them.
Today's Democrats would consider Walter Mondale a fascist.
I'd like to see a guy like Webb gain some momentum and lead a legitimate political opposition. But it won't happen.

Hell you can probably type "aloysious racist " and the interwebs will show something.

OK
Shall we call Trump a racist, because while campaigning in the primary, he referred to on black person that way?
That's what your much vaunted political system has resulted in, what else can you expect when Clinton alone spent $1.2 billion on her campaign? To us Brits that is truly truly shocking and highlights just how corrupt and broken things are.Have you been paying attention? We now live an oligarchy thanks to Citizens United. Both parties are led by utterly out of touch aristocrats. They're just different types.
Libya was sanctioned by the UN, unfortunately none of the great powers had the wit or the will to put in a strong and effective peacekeeping force after Ghaddadi was deposed.Oh spare me that partisan idiocy. Libya wasn't even remotely the immoral boondoggle that Iraq was. It didn't precipitate the needless deaths of tens of thousands of people nor did it create a power vacuum that destabilized an entire region of the planet and Clinton and other pussy Democrats have just as much blood on their hands as the right wing chicken hawks and their blind walking in lock step supporters that created that immoral disaster.
..with their dictating to flyover country. He was on Meet the Press. I didn't hear it all-
but that stood out to me. I'm a centrist at heart, and Jim Webb would be a fine candidate for POTUS.
He said the Dems are out of touch with the working class. and that's why a lot went to Trump.
That was exactly my reasoning too as well as many "blue Dog" ( centrist) Dem's obviously
He would not dislcose how he voted -but he said no way would he ever have endorsed Hillary Clinton
and her big donors.
The big idea is the Dem's have become shrill Progressives with ideological far left idea and rhetoric.
I couldn't agree more. They offer nothing right now.

Webb is an old school blue collar type democrat. I don't think that makes him a Republican today but his types are becoming fewer within his party.
There was once a Democratic-Republican party. Maybe Webb should go restart that up for people who don't know which side of the fence they belong on.
The Republican Party is solidly on the Right. The Democratic Party is now solidly on the Left.
Where's the problem?
Didn't say there was a problem at all. Not sure what you read into what I wrote that indicated there was one.
"his types are becoming fewer within his party."
I thought you were suggesting there should be more of them.
My bad if you weren't.

Trump spent about half that. Even spending twice as much as Trump, the Hillbag was still unable to buy the presidency. Proving that all the leftwing angst over Citizens United was manufactured bullshit.
Trump had the resources of Russia fool.

it's not good. if it were just about ideas it would be fine, there would be compromise for the GREATER GOOD.I was just facting a fact, not making a judgement as to whether it's good or bad.

That concept is now lost as hyper-partisanship trumps anything-and attempts at compromise brings the shrill base out to block it.
It's obviously bad news that nobody puts country first in either party.
Webb does so and espouses it as a superior workable mannerism
