This is one cool dude....smart

He's right. Cost is greater if we don't have the wall.
And, it's amazing we even have to have any debate on whether or not to obey the law.

Pinheads got accustomed to Obama picking and choosing what laws he would enforce and what ones he would ignore....par for the course in their alternate world....
They must have actually gotten the impression that was normal and would continue.....like I said before...theres a new sheriff in town....

Trump is up against three formidable enemies with the wall: Two domestic and one foreign.

Both sides of the establishment are against it because one needs loose immigration policy for future voters; the other needs it for cheap labor. The foreign entity are the Mexican drug cartels since the wall would be an impediment to getting their 'products' to US consumers.

Tired of being screwed by these three entities, millions of American tax payers voted for Trump because he promised to build the wall.

"Tired of being screwed by these three entities, millions of American tax payers voted for Trump because ..." DO #4

Any U.S. resident benefits from the inexpensive & high quality labor we get from illegal migrant workers.

Virtually all our food prices would increase without them.

WHY?

If illegals harvest tomatoes but machines harvest potatoes, the lower cost of tomatoes affects the entire food market.
Consumers will buy the less expensive commodity, affecting the "supply & demand" price influence on the entire rest of the food market.

Most of the economic analyses I've seen report that even illegal workers are a net benefit to the U.S. economy.

On the Drug War issue, it's our presidents that are boinking us on it. Waging War against the People of the United States does not improve my life.

I know it doesn't flatter the U.S. electorate. But I suspect Trump got elected on "Make America Great Again".

Meanwhile the chatter I've heard on it it is that Trump promised -no new deals-, but the Trump family bidness churns ahead full steam.

If Trump dodges emoluments clause impeachment I'll be surprised. The reports I've heard / seen / read indicate he's already guilty.

Any U.S. resident would benefit from the inexpensive & high quality labor we would get from LEGAL migrant workers also, without the burden of educating their kids or taking care of their healthcare.... LEGAL workers would have the same or better benefit to the US economy...so there is no need for
illegal foreign workers.

A more secure border obviously would be a benefit in fighting drug smuggling....

The Emoluments Clause"

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

Office of Profit or Trust , Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, is irrelevant ....
Presents have been given to our Presidents is as common as dirt....

Emolument would be a profit from holding Office, in Trump's case POTUS....and it would be the governments job to prove that

Trump is profiting from his hotels because he is president, rather than because he happens to have owned these same hotels most of his life, long before becoming president

Right.
Concisely stated.

That is PRECISELY they myth I refuted when I posted:

N opined:

"A more secure border obviously would be a benefit in fighting drug smuggling...." N #9

The powers of the human mind for self-delusion in the order of reinforcing its own prejudice, regardless of how bogus, remains unrestrained.

NEWS FLASH !!

We can't even keep illegal drugs our of our jails and prisons!!

You think locking people in metal cages can't keep illegal drugs out, but a simple wall that can be smashed through, climbed over, or tunneled beneath will get the job done ?!

But even if true, even "dirt" does not nullify the U.S. Constitution's emoluments clause.

"Emolument would be a profit from holding Office, in Trump's case POTUS....and it would be the governments job to prove that"

And by superlative coincidence the U.S. presidency happens to be a government job !!

"Trump is profiting from his hotels because he is president"

Which the emoluments clause prohibits.

"rather than because he happens to have owned these same hotels most of his life"

Even if true, that's 100% immaterial.
There's no tenure or grandfather provision in the emoluments clause.
