"Putin's a killer"

If I were Trump i'd just STFU and go about my business improving relations with Russia.
Yes our CIA has killed hundreds - and it's not the same as Putin killing his own journalists -but the RUSSIAN HYSTERICS will see no nuance.

They just hate Putin and by golly improving relations goes against their zero sum view
( for every win by one side it must be a loss for the other) so improving relations with Russia
is ALWAYS BAD

Throw some more billions into eastern Europe! that will show him (Putin)! :palm:

US/Foreign Assassinations since 1945
https://wikispooks.com/wiki/US/Foreign_Assassinations_since_1945

The US has made more than 50 attempts to assassinate political party leaders according to William Blum in his 2003 book [[Killing Hope|"Killing Hope: U.S. Military and C.I.A. Interventions since World War II". Noam Chomsky called this book "Far and away the best book on the topic".[1] Former CIA officer John Stockwell called the same book "The single most useful summary of CIA history."[2]

All such operations are illegal and almost all such killings are aimed at geopolitical objectives. In almost no cases can any clear humanitarian benefit be identified, even if the target is/was indeed tyrannical.

While bombings with aircraft leave evidence in many cases, covert operations may be difficult to prove.

An activist is mysteriously ill in Russia, and the U.S. needs to speak up

ONE DAY after President Trump and Vladi*mir Putin held their first phone call, Russian-backed forces mounted their largest offensive in months in eastern Ukraine. Now, days later, one of Russia’s most prominent opposition activists is in a coma in a Moscow hospital, where he was rushed after suddenly taking ill on Thursday morning. Vladi*mir Kara-Murza, a writer and civil- society activist with many supporters in Washington, is believed by his family to be the victim of a poisoning attack — the second they believe he has suffered since 2015...

Mr. Kara-Murza first suffered from an apparent poisoning attack in May 2015, shortly after he testified in Congress in favor of expanding human rights sanctions on Russia. Suddenly taken ill during a meeting, within hours he was in a Moscow hospital’s intensive care unit, his organs failing. Doctors there saved his life but were unable to explain what had afflicted him; tests in France later detected an unusual level of metals in vital organs....

Mr. Kara-Murza is the sort of freedom fighter that the United States has always defended. He walks in the footsteps of Andrei Sakharov and Natan Sharansky, the Soviet-era dissidents whom President Ronald Reagan fought to save. If Mr. Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson now do nothing on his behalf, they will show that their administration is ready to appease Mr. Putin at the price of American values.

the latest from the warmongers is the "KGB thug" ( mandatory characterization) cannot be compared to our CIA.
I suppose we don't kill anyone -or do black ops overthrowing regimes :palm:. in fairness -maybe that stopped.

Now we just openly do assassinations like Qadaffi in Libya,or regime change with kangaroo courts like Saddam
because these is SO much more American values at work

While it could be argued there is a lot of truth in what the "so called" president said, IT IS FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS THAT A PRESIDENT OF THE USA WOULD SAY SOMETHING SO STUPID & INAPPROPRIATE............

Hillary's ridiculous, adolescent, plastic 'reset' button didn't seem to matter.....only the hypocrites see a problem now....

The half-measures party of "feelings". Don't confuse the poor dopes. It's hard enough for them to keep up with this asinine display they are hell bent on visiting upon their party.

The greatest revenge is their complete impotence in the running of this country. It's gonna be a helluva long time for their credibility and viability to be restored.

^^^Translated...Yea, I know we're fucked. I voted for him, but unfortunately will now have to cover his ass for the next 4 years. What the fuck was I thinking? I wasn't.

You completely ignored bush's reset where ""I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy. We had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul; a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of his country."

How'd that work out for him?

Bull, he is feeding the war mongers & has promised them what they want-MORE!!!

NOTHING HE SAID EVEN IMPLIED ANYTHING LIKE a push back............

I agree... however, Trump supporters like the unvarnished version. They like it, man. Your perspective is not one they share. To them, he's doing a great job. In the same way that whatever they have to say about something means squat to you, your views mean nothing to them. Why not accept that your views will never meet?

he was "pushing back" (my words)on the Rubio's and the McCain's/Grahams who ONLY want to
"throw rocks at Russia" ( Graham's words) without any regard for realpolitik.
In no WAY is he feeding those warmongers.
He's telling them the USA isn't going to feed into yet more useless Cold War 2.0.

Did you know Obama just dedicated another $4b on such worthless crap such as the "European Reassurance Initiative http://carnegieeurope.eu/strategiceurope/63675
which is basically a bunch of tank maneuvers all over Poland - or permanent deployment to Finland!
Starting in 2017, Washington plans to begin heel-to-toe rotations of an armored brigade from the United States in Eastern Europe. In some respects, this represents a significant improvement over the assurance and deterrence steps taken by the United States and several of its NATO allies since 2014. Media accounts have somewhat breathlessly claimed the United States is “fortifying,” “beefing up,” and “significantly” increasing its military presence in Eastern Europe.

What are we doing? The NATO/Russian lines are so fortified with layers and layers of shock troops, and regulars, and missiles, and tanks -it's a complete stalemate.. Obviously no-one is going to attack anyone.

Even Putin's "Little Green Men" co-opting of Crimea was done by stealth -not force.
The "Little Green Men" were trucks and troops by non-insignia Russian Spetsnaz forces.

So why continue to throw more and more money and manpower/sanctions at Putin?

I am not here to change anyone's mind......... They/everyone here has made their choices & are hellbent on defending them come hell or high water as they say~my team right or wrong.........

It is entertaining to watch ppl defend the choices their "guy" makes~many of them they were against a couple months ago.......

That isn't an exclusive of the right either...........
