Why do liberals love Islam so much?

Whether or not they obey US law is of little consequence. When they disobey it, they get caught and punished. Therefore Sharia Law is not recognized by the state or federal government.

Individuals can practice whatever religious law they want in America right up until it infringes on someone else's rights. Murder is such an infringement.

There's also Christians in the US that deny their children basic medical treatment because they want to pray the sickness away. While not quite as heinous as straight up honor killings, it still falls under 3rd degree murder. Because they feel their religious faith supercedes the laws in this country about child neglect, does that mean some crazy Christian version of shariah is here? No.

Are you equating two cults here?

Give me specifics of what you want liberal American women to do about abuse in the ME.

Start by speaking out against it? You guys say you are citizens of the world, but ignore all the abuse in Africa and the ME? Because its politically inconvenient?

How about when you hold a "million women march" you carry signs that say 'No to Sharia law'; "Islam abuses women."

I'll wait.

In order to be a champion of blacks you have to support the following policies

1) abortion on demand that disproportionately impacts blacks
2) a public school system that fails children at all levels and oppose and free market reforms
3) support affirmative action that at its underpinning believes blacks are inferior and can't overcome challenges or obstacles without caring liberals in government to care for them
4) you have to support housing policies that imprison blacks in urban ghettos
5) you have to oppose common sense law enforcement techniques that force blacks to live in war zones fearing for their lives

That is how people like KKKhristiefan "supports" the blacks

You also can't NOT support welfare reform; the very thing that is leading to single mother households and democratic plantations.

Why aren't they protesting in those countries where such abuses actually take place. They don't mind protesting here for perceived ones but won't do a damn thing to oppose actual ones on those they claim to have so much concern for.

March in those countries? They can't even denounce it anonomously on the interent!

All they have to say is: I condemn the rape and honor killings that go on in the ME in the name of Islam.

But they can't even do that. Very shocking really where the left has gone.

You keep telling yourself that. Your clear lack of complex thought is why you can't win an argument to save your life.

The Left used to be apathetic about Islam... that is, until 9/11... when they realized that they have a new soul-sister in town! The Left's heart skipped a beat, they were so excited that it wasn't just themselves that hated America, but that they could clearly see others did as well, and were willing to act on that hate. The Left found a new front-page reason to ask "What did America do to deserve this?" (because of course, they must've done something awful to deserve thousands of innocent lives being slaughtered). The Left quickly came up with their book of answers to their own questions. The end-goal being: to make America in their image, to appease the requests of anyone who hates America like they do. This helped the Islamic jihadists realize they also have an alliance with the Left in taking down America and re-making it.

This is the only conclusion anyone can draw. AQ-ISIS talking points are almost the same as liberals, when it comes to America and the West. Evil, racist, and must be undone/conquered.

And according to liberal posters here, they aren't even bothering to deny it anymore.

What are YOU doing about it, are YOU speaking out about these women? Where are all the men marching and criticizing the abusive patriarchal aspects of ME culture?

How convenient for you to lay this at the feet of women only, when we're all citizens of the world.

BTW Irish, did you criticize trump when he snarked at Gazala Khan for not speaking at the podium?

Is he speaking out against violence against women in his own country? What is he doing about the high rate of abuse of women in his own city?

It won't happen, I can honestly say I've never seen any third wave feminists criticising Sharia Law. Yet go back in time and there was plenty of criticism, so what happened? Israel bring out the anger in liberals to such an extent that you have the BDS movement. So where is the Islamic equivalent, you may well ask?

They turn a blind eye to any criticism of men in their own country. It's so much easier to blame "the others."

Misogyny, homophobia, racism and human rights abuses are enshrined in Salifism. I don't recall anything in the Constitution that states that women are second class citizens. I speak as I find, unlike very many on here, I live near a large Muslim area and travel on Arab airlines. I was in Abu Dhabi only last week.

You don't see it now in the Constitution because it was amended in 1920. Pretty shameful that women couldn't vote for the first 144 years of this country's existence.

I understand that about Salafism, it's ultra-conservative. But it's men, not women who started the sect and kept it going. The only way abuse of women by those people is going to stop is if the men change.

Why don't you get your arse in gear and witness the reality in Muslim countries? Easy to just spout second hand shit instead.

If some women carried those signs they'd be shouted down by the rest of the protesters.

I'd wager on it.

Well who is saying different, certainly not me? I have tried many times to get anyone to talk about the truly disgusting natures of many Middle East men and nary a peep from anyone, least of all women on here. Just take one example, the loathsome practice of thighing, which is common in those parts. I have never seen any American feminist address it, it is left solely up to a few brave women like this Ghada Jamshir from Bahrain.
