Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced on Monday that he will oppose five additional nominees for President Trump's Cabinet, calling them "the worst" of his picks.

"Rep Mick Mulvaney for Budget Director, Rep Tom Price for Health and Human Services, Steve Mnuchin for Treasury, Scott Pruitt for EPA and Andy Puzder for Labor have repeatedly shown they will not put the American People or the Laws of our nation first, and I will vote against their confirmations,"
Schumer said in a Facebook post on Monday.

He added that he will oppose nominees "who will be the very worst of this anti-immigrant, anti-middle-class, billionaires’ club cabinet."

The Senate's top Democrat had already announced that he will oppose Rex Tillerson to be secretary of State, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) to be attorney general and Betsy DeVos for Education secretary.

Schumer pledged on Monday that "nothing will change" on his opposition to those three, and he said he "will continue to demand that each nominee issue a public statement on his or her views of President Trump's Muslim Ban."

Angry Democrats pushing senators to oppose Trump's picks

"Stop voting for his nominees!" an attendee shouted back.

The episode showed the pressure Democratic senators face as they head into another week of votes on Trump's Cabinet nominees.

Democrats have watched as progressives turned out en masse at pro-Obamacare rallies, then stunned the political world with the attendance across the globe at women's marches, and now are opposing Trump's executive order banning travel to the United States from seven Muslim-majority nations with protests at airports across the the country.

The protesters' and activists' loyalty, though, is to their causes -- not to Democrats -- and what binds them is their strident opposition to Trump. They are demanding total opposition to the President's Cabinet nominees, and turning their fury on Democrats who don't fight Trump tooth and nail.

The left craves the same tactics Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell used to stymie President Barack Obama's legislative agenda and block him from filling a Supreme Court vacancy.

Schumer was talking about refugee bans when he momentarily had to collect himself, and considering that some of his family made it here as refugees while others were killed, it was an emotional moment for him

And on cabinet appointments, of course he is going to vote against some of them, the most outlandish, and there are quite a few, deserve an opposition vote on the record

That Biden quote is so taken out of context, just for beginnings, it was said in September when there was an election in November, big difference

It's not quite at it's worst yet, but the Democrats are showing the perfect example of party before Americans.

Why, didn't their party candidate just receive the majority of votes in the last election? Perhaps their representing the interests of that majority
