Are we safer today?

We have just instituted a chaotic, at least temporary ban on new U.S. visas from 7 Muslim-majority countries that are deemed dangerous, and w/ the stated purpose of preventing attacks on domestic soil.

Yet, as we all now know, none of the widely publicized attacks of the past few decades are a result of letting people from those countries in. This ban would have prevented nothing during that time.

In fact, most of the attacks that we are susceptible to are from those who are already citizens, but who have been radicalized, mainly online.

How does an organization like ISIS feel about what's happening? This is the world they want. It is vital for their propaganda that they can continue to feed the narrative that the West is oppressive & the enemy, and that we are all at war.

Once again, it feels like an American President is playing right into their hands.

After this week we are definitely NOT safer today. I know a guy that builds bomb shelters. PM me if you want his number.

This ban will fuel the Isis argument that the US is anti Islam and not just anti terrorist...
Isis is celebrating the ban...
Their recruiters have a new poster boy...

If you're looking to play into the hands of ISIS institute sharia law. Or allow your country to become Islamized. ISIS would love for the US to adopt Europe's insane immigration policy.

Making it harder for them to get here after they infiltrate the ranks of the refugees? Not so much.

Galloway visited Iraq in 1994 and delivered a speech to Saddam Hussein, which ended with the statement: "Sir, I salute your courage, your strength, your indefatigability."

A report by the then-majority Republican Party staff of the United States Senate Committee on Investigations published in October 2005 asserted that Galloway had "knowingly made false or misleading statements under oath".The report exhibits bank statements it claims show that £85,000 of proceeds from the Oil-for-Food Programme had been paid to Galloway's then-wife Amineh Abu-Zayyad.

He's married 4 times to Muslims and is one himself.

I wonder if the assertion that Trump helps ISIS recruitment numbers can be backed up with statistics. Perhaps the data will show a noticeable spike of some significance statistically. It would be a bigly thing to dig up.

Really? And here I thought all they needed to accomplish that was drone footage on Youtube and a couple history books. Silly me.

Anyways, to the question you posed in the OP, safety is a illusion. At a national level it is unobtainable. The term you probably want to use is stable or stability. So let's rephrase your question; are we more or less stable because of the executive orders issued by the president? I'd say, at least for the moment that it's a neutral affair in that regard, but the reactionof other has been a destabilizing one.
